presscore.ca...

The article states that Operation Rize aims to take over 7000 British citizens safe deposit boxes from three vaults. The content of these boxes included art, gold ingots, gold dust, jewelery and cash. The excuse for it is that they are claiming the depositors are criminals and the contents of there boxes were illegal gains. Police were told to arrest people trying to get there boxes out ahead of time on bogus charges including pedophilia, gun charges, drug charges, and money laundering. So far 146 have been arrested and 30 charged. Apparently the government had done the same thing back during the 2008 crisis.

EDIT: Adding a link to a more reputable source.

Is there a better source than presscore? I've seen some pretty suspicious articles come from that site.

Just one more reason a fruit jar buried in the back yard is better than a bank. I see a day when bank no long have deposit boxes because people have stop using them because of things like this.

If you do an ATS search, you will see it has been documented this has happened in the past. There are older storied from 2008 and 2009, while the article I linked to said the idea to do it was from 2006.

edit: Here's a link to a daily mail article from the recent raid.

The Brits should have taken out their deposits back when CCTV cameras started appearing everywhere. Duh, stupid?

Yep... with facial recognition and finger print technology, they can digitally recognise a flagged criminal from any security pad or CCTV. The programme is designed so as to immediately alert by location. All recorded data is then viewed by the authorities. Its 'Big Brother is watching you... to the max'. They gotcha !... Easy pickings without having to get up off their butts. Details are then sent to investigating officers. They can track anyone anywhere on the CCTV network if your face or your fingerprints are activating the the digital readers. Once your identity is flagged... you're appearance on a security system anywhere is tracked. Interesting times we live in.

Sounds like they got the goods on a fair size criminal storage enterprise....
However the numbers are hardly that huge....They are hyping it up somewhat with all that crowing about it.
Too bad they couldnt find the cartel warehouse thats stuffed to the cieling with all kinds of currencies. It must cover acres by now..........

Yet again one good example over how anything that you do not personally poses, you do not own. You are lending it out and can loose it any moment. Soon paranoid will be a word that is deprecated. What was once paranoid is today common sense.

When word spread about the government raid and theft of the contents of their safety deposit boxes people rushed to the bank vaults. The police arrested 146 and charged 30 (those with the most cash and gold in their safety deposit boxes) with trumped up pedophilia, money-laundering, drug-dealing and firearms charges.
