Any argument that states Earth is not important, due to there being so many civilizations renders itself incorrect. If there are too many
civilizations to make us insignificant, then there would be many space-faring civilizations increasing the likelihood of us being visited by them.
Furthermore, humans have never had the habit of studying only the most interesting species on Earth despite there being millions. There is at least a
team of human(s) studying every group of species we've come across simultaneously. We're even studying species that are extinct. It's not as if ETs
are visiting us exclusively; They would be visiting and documenting hundreds or thousands of species in the Milky Way at the same time.
