SCADA and PLC systems in use around the world are very insecure, because they were never designed to be publically accessed and now some idiot graduate is being a smart kid and connecting them all to the internet.

What do you expect? ofcourse they are not secure, so don't stick them on the internet.

Seriously I worked on these systems for years, and now some 20 year old know it all comes up to me and thinks he knows better and wants em on the internet, lol, go work at Google or something, we don't want you on the industry shop floor systems where things just have to work and always work.

I have seen way too many know it all fly by night camping in manager offices for promotions developers, seriously, we don't care if you want to use silverlight, flash or god knows what latest .Net/Java SDK in every windows release, we use old technology because... IT WORKS.

Have you noticed stories with no solid source are gaining more and more track around here on ATS - before someone comes along and says the story is fake(sometimes to no avail as some just continue to discuss the subject as if it came from a reliable source)

America has far more deadly weapons than Iran and NK. And let's not forget, America HAS used them in anger, TWICE in the past and is currently using them in how many invasions elsewhere in the world? America has been at perpetual war with the world, Iran and NK have not.

In regard to the OP; there is something to be said for reliable sources when it comes to bringing a story to light.

How can anybody give those people an audience and respect when they are afraid to give the women in their
culture respect, dignity, and equality? They make their mother's, wives, and daughters wear blankets in all that middle eastern dessert heat?! Not to mention they wear a diaper on their heads. Not a kind, intelligent, respectful culture going on over there. They need to learn to be productive not destructive. Seems to me they are the bullies.
