Are we descending into anarchy? What happens if the Stockmarkets tank? I admit to being very afraid.

I think the thread title says it all. I would like to hear from others about what they think will happen in the upcoming days. Will the stock markets tank? How will our world function if the dollar is devalued to zero? How will the general public pay their bills and maintain housing over their heads?

I am sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum. I am just afraid!

If I was in the states I would take all my cash out of the bank and keep it in the floorboards or something.

First of all it would take years for the USD to be devalued to zero.(unless they issued a different currency). As far as the stock market goes, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you are invested. Yes it will not be good for the economy in the coming months, but I think we are far from riots in the streets for the time being.
Hope this helps.

ok, say the fed and the people pulling the strings (not claiming to know exactly who they are) really did spend decades previous to rape us of our money so "they" could fund their lifestyles and go on a bunker building spree across the world to ensure they survive the collapse...and say they did spend this little memorable sliver of humanity's history pumping us full of toxins and lies, robbing us of our presence of mind and physical health, and maybe we are actually right about it all...

but after the collapse, i'd say it was our responsibility to find said bunkers with the rich and powerful and do with them what we please, afterall, they couldn't take ALL their missiles and bunker busters in there with them

assuming we survive, of course...

there will always be more of us than there are of them

Yes, but what would you do with money under the floorboards that won't be worth anything?.

political leaders and whomever will do their best to postpone this, however the truth it that it's going to happen eventually, very soon

From what I'm hearing, we can all kiss our 401K's goodbye.

I hope that it's going to force TPTB to stop the Bush tax cuts, and bring the tax rate to where it should be. It seems that Moody's waiting for that to happen, or they will devalue our rating as well and Standard and Poor will lower it again.

Must end the Bush tax cuts!

I expect to get laid off again. Might have to go back to driving taxi. It sucks because I am a skilled tradesman and love working with my hands. If I don't work, I lose it. But then again, if I drive taxi again, I will have time to perform music again. Or go to school and learn another trade.

Taking all of your money out of the bank is not practical nor safe. If everyone does it, the banks will close and accounts will be frozen. (I'm not sure if ATM's would be shut down...) If you -have- to have money, don't take out more than $100.00.

Make sure your gas tank is full.

If the economy crashes all you would have is toilet paper, or the equivalent under-funded monetary unit. Visit your grocery, buy non-perishable foods, buy water if you don't have it already.

If you take medicines, get your prescriptions filled if you are close to 10 days or less of medication.

Buy a good book or two and a battery powered/solar charged radio (If you don't have one already.)

Most importantly : If folks are rioting /looting, stay inside and out of danger.

Yes, that does help some. I just see a bleak few decades coming up unless things get under control quickly.
I wish I was more prepared. I am going to get that way if I have the opportunity to do so.

I think the riots are already happening in the streets. The general unrest is escalating and the lies of the politicians and economists are accumulating. The feeling is global and the Egyptian popped proverbial cherry of revolution. The English are in the midst of a riot right now with potential to transform into something more. I look at what it happening now globally, here in 2011 and feel it to be the first solid indicator of global revolution.

The only solution the bankers have right now is to tell the populace that their kids will be born into more debt and will have a lower standard of living than you. The prospects are not looking good and the one trick pony that is Quantitative easing is going to have a terrible 3rd installment (Much like most trilogies).

Hang on to your seat, life's about to get REALLY REAL.

Don't be afraid my friend we are entering a brave new world. Don't buy the lies and don't take part in their wars. Defend you and yours if you must though. We are better off without the system. Let it blow itself to he'll. We will pick up the pieces in the end.

Why are you scared?

This may not be full of truth, but the truth it does have should calm you down. You'll know the truth when you hear it. Everything is the way it is meant to be. Relax, and enjoy the ride.

What I see happening is something very blique, I see before us the defeat of the American Dollar, but not for a reason as to any other than completely getting rid of dollar currency and allowing gold and silver to come back. If you follow finances and the stock exchange, all the fiscal problems started with the stock market, yes you can make big money, but loose even bigger. Gold and silver will replace everything, and I trly do ee a debt forgiveness on he horizon, I ma be wrong...But I am good at what I do. I have a gut feeling that we are watching the immediate and near future collapse of the dollar on purpose....Around the world, every currency.. You always have to start with the BIG guy first for everyone else to follow suit through fear and power...Think hard about what I just said. NWO planned perfectly! It truly is a beautiful thing to see such a perfectly planned game of chess unravel before our eyes. A complete and utter disgrace of horrendous maliciousness succeeded perfectly, while we all just sit back and watch it unfold.

I don't know if anyone has ever spoken or written on the connection between the Watts Riots and the pancake effect on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, but for the next 20 years growth in stocks was flat.

There may be no connection at all. There shouldn't be any connection. But if we are to make a highly speculative guess, it could be several things.

First guess The news showed that people were stealing TV's. This may have sent a very clear message, and more investment was made in entertainment, shows, advertising, and making more TV's of more variety availiable.

Second guess A flat market coupled with inflation hides a minor recession and makes the average person poorer over time. An entire generation may have been pushed down a notch.

Third guess All the investments were going into the Military (Vietnam war).

But either way, lawlessness just makes the state stronger. Things don't decend into chaos. Chaos forces the rulers to assert the law more vigorously.
