Hi folks, guess this is the right place for this, I did some google searches but couldn't really find info I was looking for. I often dream what people are thinking and feeling, dream about situations that are happening or end up happening and sometimes know what people are feeling. I've noticed lately that this gets much better when I'm really tired, I can guess what people are going to say or what's going to happen next in a situation when wrecked. Also works if I'm really tired from using a computer too much
I'm wondering if anyone has any explanation about this? I've been reading a lot about the nature of conciousness, how the brain can re-edit perception to make it fit what it expects in certain situations so that what you perceive is not always actually what happened, so if anyone wants to make a rational explanation of this I'm open to that too

I have read that Nostradamas would deprive himself of sleep for up to 2 days before he would have visions and also smoked nutmeg. My psychic energy level is stronger due to lack of sleep. Interesting subject!

i wish my empathy was only caused by sleep deprivation! i can generally feel what those around me are feeling any day, any time, any state. it's not really paranormal to me anymore. and it's getting stronger every day!

it's part of the awakening. you're simply becoming more aware of your surroundings. as the ego dissolves, so does the separation. so you're simply more aware of what other energies, spirits and forces are around you than you once were.

just wait...it's only gonna get weirder...

I've always believed (and I don't know if I read it somewhere or something I figured out on my own) that all your energy is focused in your mind when you're tired. Thats why people who suffer insomnia are often very creative.

Logically, along these lines, if you are any kind of empath, you should feel it more strongly when you're tired.

It could work both ways as well. If you're empathic and you focus your mind on someone, it may drain you and make you tired. If you spend all your energy doing something creative, makes you tired.

Just my thoughts on the subject ♥

Being that we have just entered the 5th day of the mayan calander recently this is will become more common. Reading people's true intentions will become more frequent. People may find themselves becoming more manic and it is because you are fighting between the old way of thinking which was very ego centered to a more collective consciousness. Being more tired may help you tune into these abilities as I'm sure others find this to be true also. I personally find music to hint me in on what is going on. Music has always spoke to me, but even more so lately.

OP, how do you know what someone is feeling?
are these people distant or close to you on a daily bases?
If you dream like this then write down you dream with date and time.
If it becomes true, have the main person sign off on it. You may be amazed either way, but normally when your idea is put to the test you will find out your perception may be a little off on what you first believed.

I experience the same thing! It can be very emotionally draining after a while....I noticed that I have to be really in the zone and in touch with the process to be able to do this. Its not difficult but I have to be actively letting it happen. I dont know how else to explain it!
However, I spent time really shutting this down and I am not as psychically active as I once was. I just felt like this was a natural ability for me, and I did not really have the ability to control it....and honestly sometimes it scared me. Also I am really busy as a single mom and full time student right now and I need all the energy I can to focus on school! It was easier when I was a stay at home mom, with hours of free time!
Big moments will come through for me from time to time tho...in my dreams as well.

Your ability gets stronger at night? Earths magnetic fields are weakest at night. I experience wierd mind tricks also and it suonds like you are just starting off. It may get very annoying and hard to deal with.

Hmm well, it's mostly people saying exactly what I expected them to say or things like that. With the dreams, I talk to the people who were in the dreams about them. There's been a number of instances where it was accurate.

All empathy, heck even intelligence in general is based upon pattern recognition and the integration of the pattern into the observer.

Empaths really don't "feel" the emotions of others or anything, it is just that Empaths have a conscience + are really good at mimicking other emotions internally. As per why it seems to "work better when your tired" is because when your tired a) your own ego is weakened and b) when tired your in a borderline hypnotic state. Thus your able to integrate patterns more easily into your psyche.

Hi J.Clear.
You say that it gets better when you are tired, in what way? That the feeling/dreams is stronger or weaker?

I have had similar dreams since I was little but not in the same way you do, but I often know just what is going to take place.

And I have no rational explanation for that.

Yep, I'm perfectly willing to take under consideration an explanation like that

i don't really buy that. i'm one of those bright eyed and bushy tailed folks. i am usually full of energy. rarely tired. and i feel nearly everything. i don't think it has anything to do with delirium. at least in my case. in fact...when i'm tired...i get very cranky and don't want to be around anyone.

Hmm, some other examples I was remidned of today as it happened again (being wrecked all the time lately makes it hard to remember the examples
). Something that's been happening a lot lately is that I'll send a text message to a person and they'll say they were just thinking of me, or I'll be about to send one to someone or thinking about them when I receive a message from them. The response I get to the message I send is always the same: "I WAS JUST THINKING OF SENDING YOU A MESSAGE!!"
What I've been finding a lot lately in this state of extreme tiredness is knowing when I'd bump into a particular person on the street, or indeed knowing where they are and being able to find them. Being as it is in a state of fair exhaustion I'm not sure if it's some after the fact analysis, but that's not really possible with the text message example, folks are fairly surprised by it!!

Interesting post. The only time I ever feel a real emotion is after 2 days of sleep deprivation. Other than that it's just reading people's faces and responding in a way that I see others respond in similar situations. I still think that people can see right through it though and are to polite or aren't 100 percent sure I'm faking so they don't call me out on it. I like the feeling of being able to actually experience it when it happens though. Life's little gifts. Do you guys think it's a neurochemical imbalance that is causing it or do you think the sleep deprivation somehow stabilizes abnormal levels?
