Flash robs invade Canada

Since there really isn't much stuff, this just started happening in Canada

these co-ordinated attacks are robberies where a good sized group of young people coordinate a robbery at a business like a convenience store they move quickly in and out no assault had taken place either.

This is spurred by social networking on how to do it, but I believe the police forces here are going to have a lot of problems stopping this trend.

Go figure 3/4 of the people in the screen shot from that article look like poor black people. Probably on welfare, can't wait till Canada's socialism poors into America. WOOO!!!

Ok....there also have been many flash mob robberies in the United States....Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. to name a few. Also.....there is now a trend starting called (Beat Whitey Night)....at (public gatherings)...example at a recent Iowa State Fair.

First of all ....I am not racist....however the facts are....these flash mob robberies and beatings are being done by young black people.

I have to question...why? Is it always by young black people? What is going on?

It's disturbing...too bad they couldn't focus all that energy into doing something positive

Well what do you expect them to do now that the NCAA is stepping up their regulations for college recruitment? It's not so easy to get into college anymore with just running skills =P

its more or less racial tension that is doing it cities with sizable minority populations are going to have the problem look at Toronto for instance 46.9 % of those (2006 population estimates at 2,476,565) are of visible minority of course race is an issue if we include the GTA which pushes the total population up to over 5 million people, and if we continued to include the Greater golden horseshoe which includes Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga (goes as far south as Niagara, as far west as Kitchener Waterloo, as far east as Oshawa / Pickering and as far north as Vaughan and Barrie, lists the population to over 8 million, I am unsure what the stats would be for foreign born and visible minority but it would be a sizable number.

I think Canada is the one who should be worrying. Our dollar is soon to be worth more than the US dollar and we still have a AAA credit rating and are in no danger of going broke like the USA.

Its nice to have a responsible governement.

I've been wondering when we would see this happen in Canada and am not surprised it happend in ontario because of obvious immigration reasons. What surprizes me though is the stores doors were open at midnight. Almost every 7/11 or Mac's locks it doors in Winnipeg after 10:00pm. You have to be buzzed in. Might be a good idea for all late night stores.

This is what inequality gives birth to. Some have millions, billions and trillions on their bank accounts, others are so poor they simply laugh and gang up and go get some food from a shop and feel nothing wrong in what they are doing.

In a way i agree. It is wrong to steal, but to steal back what the pyramid scheme called economy has taken from them is only fair. When you start to rob your citizen, you can't demand them not robbing you.

Once upon a time the law, taxes and so on were voluntary concepts. You gave something in exchange for something.

because their mentality and lack of education prohibits them from being capable of advancement from poverty.
it is amazing,. obama gives them an opportunity to an advancement and they still choose to steal.
I can only imagine what the KKK and the White supremacy groups are saying right now.
this will certainly spark racism in those that never felt it before.. All because of a bunch of Idiots

That may be so in the USA, but this happend in Canada. Blacks have never been oppressed or denied the same opportunities as white people here so that excuse doesn't fly. Personally I think most of the people in the video were not born in Canada and immigrated here. African gangs like the "Mad Cows" in Winnipeg have become a problem.

Don't worry about this, I'm sure that its a one of a kind deal. When these kids get home I'm sure their parents will discipline them harshly. In fact, I'd guess that their father's are standing on the porch waiting for them to get home to give them a spanking or toss them in their rooms for a week.

In addition, as soon as school starts, they'll be inside doing their homework all night and won't be causing any trouble at all. This entire business was probably just nervous energy due to the pressures these kids know they will confront when they get into their AP classes this fall.

Easy ways to stop this short of violence. Move the business or simply don't allow people who are under the age of 18 in the store without an adult, period.

We're pretty damn tolerant up here. Too much soo some times. I don't really see enough racial tension to start anything major at the moment. When it comes to the new gangs of youths that immigrated here, it seems most of the violence they do is against they're fellows and not really the public. It really is strange but the bikers fight the bikers and the asian gangs fight the asian gangs and the african gangs fight the african gangs. I don't know why but thats the way it seems to be here in Canada.

If these gangs start making things like these flash stealings too common the public will revolt. In the 90's the Quebec bikers were soo bad the people of Canada let the police take it to them by any means. The bikers were arrested for anything and everything and harrased like never seen before and quickly the gang fell apart and that was that. Canadians will only take soo much but we are far from being in that position again.

Well the mentality in parts of Canada is the same as in the US of course they are going to do this, which city gets hit next is up in the air, it could be Toronto, it could be Guelph, it could be all the way out in some place in Nova Scotia.

"flash mobs" in Canada is nothing new. i worked at Canada's wonderland as a teen. every Canada day for a few years had flash mob activity. games, restaurants, and stores would be completely over run at the sound of a whistle, (seemed to be SOME ORGANIZATION involved in the attacks) with absolutely EVERYTHING of value being taken, staff just trying to hide and survive when attacks took place. i was one of the lucky ones that didn't get hit, but was right beside a restaurant that was. they stole whole cash registers on the way through even, man that was a scary day.

i just remember seeing a HUGE black sea of people smashing through that restaurant. it was over in under a minute. at my game we had makeshift weapons ready like bowling balls in cash bags ready for any attack. ANYTHING that might serve as a WEAPON was readied for quick use. how no employee was killed is still a wonder. one of my friends basically squished herself under a counter to avoid being beaten or trampled as the huge wave of blacks poured through her game taking and destroying everything in their path. it ended with us leaving our areas at an early shutdown in a large group with both security and cops escorting us out. the cops even had their guns drawn, as they were having problems removing the mobs from the park. and this was in 1988 if i remember correctly.

the same day my sister was driving with her husband across the road on the far edge of the parking lot when they were surrounded by one of the mobs, (there was NOTHING in that area at the time). a few walked out into the road so of course they stopped at which point, the car was shaken and beaten upon apparently because the occupants were white. they were scared for their lives. after talking to the cops they were given some advice . if ever in that situation again the best way to deal with it is to just hit the gas and don't stop for anything until well clear then call the cops. good advice for anyone caught in that type of situation, as mob mentality tends to get innocent people killed. if any die because of running them down well it's their fault for taking part of mob activity. better your life is safe.

the next year the park had even more cops around then ever before and any group of blacks, or anyone else for that matter getting into groups bigger then two or three people were escorted off park property. problem solved.

so we can see that flash mobs are nothing new in fact long before the same flash mob activity had been happening at the CNE on labor day evening. i can well remember my parents hustling my sister and myself out as it was getting dark and seeing employees arm themselves with things like huge meat skewers layed out as they prepared for the expected assaults. seeing the OPP, and Toronto police horses and riot police also gathering and forming up waiting the really interesting thing is that these happened on SPECIFIC days, was ALWAYS BLACKS, and seemed ORGANIZED not just a bunch of morons grouping together and going out of control. these so called flash mobs were going specifically to raid and pillage. there was nothing spontaneous about them, it was a planned attack.

Well, I would expect it to be more of a problem in the provinces with heavy immigration like Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and BC. The Canadian public has been more vocal in the last few years with things like the gun control and throwing the Liberal party in the garbage. Also take a look at the WinnipegSun and read the comments on anything to do with crime and you will see the public in winnipeg is fed the hell up with crime and soft sentences for criminals which will lead to the NDP to be thrown out with the garbage next election here.

what a sheltered bubble form of thinking. there are no more enforceable rules when 30 or more people can show up organized and just kick in the door.

Their parents are likely just as disenfranchized, if they had responsible parents in the first place these kids would never have been involved.

Its not that their parents are disenfranchised, its that they are not doing the job of parenting. Disenfancisement means that someone's right to vote has been eliminated or substantially reduced. In the context of the modern left, Its a feeling. You're an adult, you have responsibilities, get over it.

You're right, there is nothing you can do when 30 people run into your store absent installing a man trap and only allow a certain number of people in at a time.

So what happens? A couple of things. Folks stop going to stores in that neighborhood, opting for stores outside of the area. The business goes under. The building remains vacant. Businesses in a business center rely on one another to attract customers. One business vacating and another can't make it so they close. Another vacant building and the cycle continues until you have downtown Detroit.

There are tons of "disenfrancised" folks in Detroit, what ever that means. What it means in practical terms is that it is not a place you want to live, do business in or visit.
