Many people believe in metaphysical manifestation, that our thoughts can change physical reality. The attitude of people as a collective seems to be mostly negative and bleak, with little faith or trust in our governments and leaders to do the right things, or even hope that we as a species can overcome the epidemic of greed and corruption. We've wreaked havok on the environment, and we literally # where we eat (and drink!) now. There are many more examples...

Do you believe that we are metaphysically manifesting the end of the world (or at the least, a new dark age) with our collective thoughts?

Having just watched "The Secret" for the first time last week, I find it interesting to say the least that we are possibly sending out our intentions to the Universe that we proverbially "Don't want to live anymore on a planet without justice."

Actually the worlds getting better than it has been in the past so I wonder why you would ask that. The more appropriate question would be are we manifesting a new golden age.

Where is this source from?
Where I'm from most people seem happy and contempt are you in Iraq? Or are you just a negative person?
Clear your head and smile the world is still beautiful.

Dear Balkan,

I do not believe we are manifesting the time because of our thoughts, I believe our thoughts represent the time. I don't know how to explain this well. Eight guys play basketball, one team of four wins, that is the game. The thoughts didn't create the game; but, they certainly had an effect on the outcome. I hope that helps.

Alot of people see the headlines and assume the whole world is falling apart. A quick read through some history books however will show that things today are drastically improved from what has happened in the past.

There are also as many good things going on in the world as there are negative ones. It just comes down to what you want to focus your energy on.

How can people be happy and contempt. I think you need to clear your head and smell the **** I know you meant "content" but you got it correct with your misspelling.

I live in the Midwest. I hear things and talk to people all the time about the worlds problems. For example, just going to the store last week there was a lot of fear and negativity in the air over the debt crisis. Quite a few people in line were talking about the prices of food and how they weren't sure how they were going to keep making it.

Where do you live, Disneyland?

Examples? Starvation and poverty is on the rise globally. It must be nice to live in a bubble.

This is because the population is far greater than it has been and for an example just look at the average life span, which also adds into your starvation issue. People live longer so when disasters like famine hits there are alot more people affected.

There are many examples of how today is better than previous history. Look at medical advancements, look at deadly wars raging all over the world that have decreased, there are so many examples I shouldn't have to list them.

placing your faith on written history books is as silly as placing your hand on the bible

both were written by men

and guess what

men lie, specially when it benefits them

history is written by the victors

but in real life the good guys dont necessarily win everytime, it all boils down to who has a better PR manager

No, I understand where you are coming from. It's an argument I use at times: "You think it's bad now, try living in the dark ages".

However, to pretend the world is some beautiful, positive place at this time in current history is laughable. Yes, here in the States, despite the fact that things are going down the toilet fast, we still live pretty good. I'll give you that. The larger part of the world doesn't live half as well as we do.

the last one was the 80's.

i'm hoping we have a couple road signs down along the path that will lead us into the golden age, instead of disaster. like global knowledge of the other sentient beings of this cosmos

www.boston.com...

survey all of military history since 1870, and find that the number of armed disputes between countries has been steadily increasing at, they estimate, around two percent per year.
