I am Not suggesting that there is a martian creeping around the sand. But maybe it IS! Maybe this dudes on spring break @ martian cancun when he passed out and his buddies buried him in the sand.

I would agree, it probably is a rock, but it looks creepily like an aboriginal head

Who's to say it's even a humanoid head? Maybe it's the head of one of their people... assuming it is some sort of monumental stature. And maybe it's that small because THEY are really that small and that's why they have yet to be discovered by what we can see with the naked (human) eye and all mechanisms used to explore.

This is obviously a rock.

How long would an actual head survive on Mars? Since there's an atmosphere on there, it should rot pretty quickly, like on Earth, right ?

Exposure to air doesn't cause things to rot. Exposure to bacteria and other organisms in the air causes things to rot. Though, if there's a physical human head on Mars, I suppose we could expect the Martian atmosphere to also have terrestrial organisms. In which case, yes, it would rot.

Regardless, I agree. It's rock. It's probably the best example of pareidolia I've ever seen, but, still...it's rock.

That's what I see, 2 rocks and some shadow. It definitely looks like a head though!

You guys are just hilarious. I'm not letting you look at anymore pics of the martian landscape. I'm sure you'd extort all kinds of civilization artifacts. No way.

But, have anyone thought of fossilized head? Petrified? Like petrified wood, that is rock?

and anyways, I want my martians to be all wierd alien looking, not like some neanderthal. Ewww.

I think the OP got it right. It is definitely a head sticking out of the sand.
If you look further back and to the left, you might see a big arse sticking out of the sand also.
That is where the martians park their bycycles, I believe.
