Personally I think the head is a native Martian in camoflage, someone has to clean the solar panels every night !

It was an American rover that took this picture just as American robots continue to explore the Solar System and soon beyond. It will be American Companies that realize space as the new frontier. Not bad for having our heads in the sand.

Maybe when we bury them there they come out on Mars, thus the pic in question
