we make it way too easy with all the handouts, if this was taken away the numbers would fall dramatically

but then again, we live in a free society if you want to have a baby at a young age its your decision, i do feel however that its kind of seen as an easy way out - leave school with no qualifications and have a couple of kids, get a house and some money..you can see why this is an attractive option for some, in particular those in disadvantaged backgrounds.

Trends seems to continue in families. This is not only in the UK. I'm in Canada. My youngest brother had his first son at 17. He's now a grandfather, has been since he's 36. If the trend continues he'll be a great grandfather before he retires.

I am in the US. I have a cousin, whose mother had him at 15, he had a girl at 14, she just had a baby at 12. That means his mother is a great grandmother at 41.

If you need some help with that...

Only joking, I agree the jmigration problem is out of control.. They don't even jntergrate anymore, they segregate and just stick In their own groups, speaking their own language with their own shops, cafes, bars etc.

I fear for the future of my once beloved country.. That why I'm out of here soon!!

To me, I don't find anything wrong with this. Animals breed as they hit sexual maturity. Just as humans reach sexual maturity they will breed too. You can't stop animals from doing the dirty.

Wow, this is becoming disturbing. So basically the dad was around 15 when he had her, and now she's 14 and giving birth.

And his rugby team comment.... epic facepalm!

If you read the article correctly the Grandfather's name is Shem Davies, 29 years old.

The father of the baby, Jordan Williams, is 15.

Jordan, who sat his final GCSE just weeks before Gracie arrived, said he understands responsibility. 'I'm captain of the school rugby team and that's like having 14 kids.'

You imply that Shem is the one who made the comment about his own rugby team.

In fact it is Jordan who made the comment about his own rugby team.

In your own words

epic facepalm!

Animals act on instinct. Propagation of the species is part of that instinct. While we are animals we also have higher cognitive abilities that separates us from them. We KNOW that kids are not able to care for kids. That's why we have certain laws on the books.

While a rather disturbing story, one has to consider a few things..

First, this is the Daily Mail that would give their mothers own heart if they thought they could have a story they could sensationalise to the extreme.

Secondly, this is hardly the norm but see above point. The essence, according to the stats, is that there are around 16,000 (38,000/2 as half are aborted) babies born to teenage mothers (this is all mothers up to and including 19) and if this is a national statistic, this likely includes babies from minorites too, referencing others points about them.

16,000? Is that all? There are hundreds of thousands of kids at any given time of "breeding age". This represent a very small, but still uncomfortable, problem. It isn't worth it, or even fair, to get up in arms about this and extrapolate it to the whole nation and use it as a beating stick.

It's also nothing new. 100 years ago, you would be frowned upon to be unwed and without baby at 21 and you would expect to be a grandad by the time you were 30-35. What is different now? We live longer? So what?

I do not think this nor the drinking problem (thread mentioned earlier) are solely a British problem.

The U.S. has the exact same problems with this. They have for some time.

I recall a family from my home town as I grew up, well really two sisters. They had about 10 kids each all with a different father. Their kids started having kids before they were old enough to live on their own. They lived in a run down dump of a house but they had satalite TV (this was back in the 80's) and a big TV.

The kids were always dressed, but their clothes were old and unkept. I am not saying they should be out buying name brand clothes that cost a weeks pay, but certainly they could have had better.

I recall them selling food stamps (this was when they had paper that could only be used on food) for cash and would use that to buy smokes or booze.

I think you could go to just about any place on the planet though and see this, possibly more so in the western world though.

here in the midlands this is the NORM
12-15 immigrants in 1 house
half work days half work nights
minimum taxed
half their wages are sent abroad to their familys
their familys set up a prosperous business back home

spent back into the system

These sisters were not immigrants though ("strangers" did not live in my home town). To tell the truth they were white hill billy trash (I am sorry if that description offends anyone there really is no other description that fits).

These "ladies" just spent "their" money on their constant party/orgy.

I know the type you speak of though I have seen them in other places.

I am firmly convinced that when Prince William becomes King William IV he will reign over an Islamic ruled United Kingdom ... unless of course Liz II and Charlie take their duty as Defender of the CHRISTIAN Faith seriously, and the British people elect the British National Party to power.

I think the type can be found everywhere to be honest.

Some people are always looking for the easiest way to get by without doing anything. These same people will do no more than they can to make sure their child stays alive so that they can continue to get a check.

I feel sorry for the kids. Even growing up I felt sort of sorry for the kids these "ladies" had, though I do admit to being a normal kid and being mean at times as well.

English speaking is becoming the world's lowest population.

England needs to make more babies since America's gone the Abortion route and letting the Latino's take over and make babies like rabbits.
