You should buy a alien helmut shield. If you wear one of those, they guarantee if you get abducted,it is a full 100 percent refund,no questions asked.Out of hundreds of thousands of abduction reports, there has never been one single case reported where the claimant was wearing an alien hemut prevention shield.Well worth the money in my humble opinion, since abductees sometimes report lifelong abductions and genetic experiments at he hands of these aliens.

Many , many truckers will tell you stories just like this. It was a pretty common topic when they called into the old Art bell show. I have never heard anybody come up with a plausible explanation for this phenomenon , and it remains a mystery.

I would urge both of you to get it done...and it has to be a test where they are looking for ALL possibilities.

Try and find a doctor who won't dismiss this incident, and might have a clue as to what to check for...

Honestly if what you are saying is true...I'm worried about you and your daughter...please keep us posted on what happens...and don't let the confusion you feel now...take away from the facts of this story...missing time..yet reaching your destination almost an hour ahead of schedule is odd...

Quite honestly I'm relieved you have some other person who can verify it happened as well.

You came back around with the vehicle in motion?

Take great care not to assume that such strange events are happening to you that you think your life is not under your control. It seems to be only 8 days since you suffered a powerful and, to you, unexplainable sun tan, and you asked ATS members about that, too.

I can't see why you'd be making any of this up, so remember that there are huge doubts about alien abduction being a real, physical event. Have a look at the serious recent criticisms made of both David Jacobs and Budd Hopkins, two of the leading figures persuading people they have had dreadful experiences with aliens. There are plenty of self-styled abduction experts out there who will excited to develop your beliefs and write about you for money.

I don't live in the US, so I don't know how these things work locally, but if there are any points on your route at which your car will have been filmed, or your registration plate 'recognised', maybe you can find out just where your car was and when.

Best of luck!

The strange feelings you are getting will go away in a short time. Just relax, and go with the flow.

However, just to be safe, go get blood work done.

The way to help the problem stop is something I would be willing to discuss with you via PM’s and not over this board – as I don’t want to receive fallout from other members.

Of course, people start explaining this with Alien Abductions etc...this is all ok and dandy, but in my opinion it would make sense FIRST to get some facts right *before* getting into speculation.

For example, you say

"The trip always takes 4 hours. No more no less."

Which is not exact enough and rather a guess based on experience.

It would be MUCH better if we start this with a map and know the exact distance, instead of a personal guess "how long it usually takes" because there might be factors influencing travel time, traffic etc.

How far a distance is that trip?

Sometimes the gas is really high octane, which is the reason you didnt use much gas. Also, peoples perception of time gets skewed these days.I would almost gaurantee you are a text messenger type, which will dilute your sense of time and space.

What you are describing is a classic alien abduction scenario – but of course you knew that already.

Let's not jump to conclusions, PLEASE.

OP, I have no idea what causes that, but there have been hundreds, probably thousands, of similar cases. Google for them, do not rely on a single website to provide you with answers.
There are several such cases described on the About Paranormal website.

I don't know about this whole abduction scenario, I'm partial to time slips.

About a year or so ago me and my girlfriend were driving home from a town 30 minutes away. We leave town and start to settle in for the boring scenery. The song "What I Got" is playing on my CD player. Then, all of a sudden, we were 2 minutes out of town and the song was just finishing. I realized it, said something, and my girlfriend confirmed. We don't know what happened.

I think time slips happen because time is real relative. Like how some days seem to drag on and some don't. The past hour seemed like 5 minutes to me, the rest of the day felt like two. Time, more importantly perception of time, is a very weird thing.

Could it be possible that you physically willed the vehicle forwards through space and time? It just occurred to me that hypnosis while driving is quite common , and perhaps you entered an altered state and willed yourself s along a little further to your destination ?

What, telling the OP to go to some self-publicising amateur who already believes in alien abductions is better than going to a professional who has relevant medical qualifications is good advice? Really? Really???

Hey there! I believe you and I'm sorry some people have said bad things. I wish I had an explanation for you, but I don't. As someone who has had strange things happen as well, the best advice I can give is to just try to come to grips with the fact that something very strange and unexplained happened, but you are still alive and you and your daughter both are ok. You are both together and that is what is important. I know it is very unsettling to have something so strange happen and to not understand where that time went, but try to be happy that all is well now. That is the only consolation I have and the only thing that calms me when I think about a certain strange thing that happened to me once. I wish I could give better advice.
It may be a good thing that you don't know what happened during the missing time. Sometimes I think ignorance really is bliss. Used to I would have never said to just try to let it go, but after experiencing high strangeness, trying to forget is what helps me the most.

I don't want to make you feel bad..but I think that is even more far fetched than an alien abduction theory..

Alien abduction does not really make sense tho. Did they take the whole car and set it back down? Or if they took the occupants , did the car drive itself? I kinda like my theory. Also this usually happens on a route the driver has traveled many times before.

A self publicizing amateur is only your opinion..though I'm sure there are some out there. A professional who has dealt with these type of cases before will have some valuable information , as well as some advice.

Do NOT see a psychiatrist, unless you really do want to end up in a padded cell or on psychotropic meds. Look for a hypnotist. They really are not that uncommon these days. Usually they deal with helping people quit smoking though, so they might not be prepared to deal with lost/gained time.

I hope you just went through some kind of time warp phenomenon. Maybe nothing really happened during that time.

I have seen posts referencing the alien abduction time scenario, and of course the always popular but unfortunate posts of belittling comments.

I would also recommend you do some searches on "Time Slip" on ATS - some of your recounted experience is similar to others I have read with that moniker. Based on your account and replies to some of the other posters, I would assume that reading about others' similar experience might be helpful.

Good luck and good journey.
