A little birdy flew in my window and told me the original Tea Party, while dressed as Indians, boarded ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor.

Now the part that bothers me is these cowards tried to set the poor Indians up. This is like a white women saying she was raped by a black man and when the smoke clears after he spent 35 years in prison, the DNA test comes back that it was a member of her family.

This lets you know the mindset of today's so called Tea Party and why they have no minority members.

Guys!

Get over the Tea Party BOOGIE MAN please.

They represent 60 members out of 435 in the house. They can do absolutely nothing as a party other than be used as a boogie man scapegoat.('
')

They are the new 'Motto' for MSNBC and Huffington Post... Now it is TEA PARTY (with that invasion of the body snatchers scream) instead of the old "Bush / Cheney / Halliburton boogie.

It's been debated whether they ever dressed as Indians at all actually. If they did it was more than likely just a joke and was in no way meant to seriously pass off as an Indian raid.

Its more the rich using the poor then whites using any one race..

But i think it will be a double edged sword in the long run because of the base of people being used..

The Boston Tea Party was because they believed that it violated their right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives... Not that they didnt need to pay taxes, communists or any other weirdness you come up with..

That opens up a whole new mess IMO.. When you have mods who are very clear in supporting a side.. When you have posts and threads oddly deleted, sided polls etc..

Meh, lets just say in my view mods shouldnt show any side if they want to run a neutral free speach forum.

My idea of extremely fanatical and mentally unhinged people are those who insist the US borrow 40 cents of every $1.00 of expenditures and place this nation into insurmountable debt their grandchildren will be unable to pay. The "Tea Party" (which does not formally exist) is trying to get America out from underneath these fanatical Marxists intent on tearing this country apart.

We need a balanced budget, PERIOD. (Just like the states, just like you and me.) The extremely fanatical and mentally unhinged Congress got us into this place (Democrat controlled for the last 4+ years) and thank God for the people who voted the "Tea Party" members in. Next election, there will be MORE to take back our country from the mindless psychotic idealogues that have attempted to subverty everything dear to us. First the House. Check. Next the Senate, and next the Presidency.

Sorry, but this is the USA not some country run by a dictator, but my guess by your comment is that everyone should think and act just like you.
These people that are "extremely fanatical and mentally unhinged" must have a lot of like minded followers otherwise their names would not have even made a ballot to be voted into office, let alone actually get elected.
Maybe is it you who is as you put it "mentally unhinged".

Neo did a one up little birdy story. I like Neo's version of "punked." I thought it was pretty funny actually.

And dressing up like Indians to blame them for the was least of their worries at that time.
YEAH..THAT will teach Whitey.

I'm sure the Brits were hip to Indians sneaking on their boats, and dumping TEA. Just a hunch... UUmm I think it's called a symbolic gesture and is used as an exampele of how frustrated the New Colony's were getting.
NOT to set up the Indians and blame THEM!

I'm sure IF the Patriots dressed as Indians, and the Indians got blamed, the Brits were still laffing about stealing New York, because Indians didn't understand owning land.
Owning beads yes...owning land didn't exist..AREA'S someone else wanted to hang out on yes.
own? No.

I would imagine that there would be several dressed more like a native then a British subject, far more of a practical attire for day to day work then the pomp and circumstance of England's "civility".

Mods can't have an opinion? What will be the outcome or backlash if they speak their point of view?

A "jaded" thread?

Gimme a break..It's a fricking conspiracy based on fact and opinion website! And some not so good facts too.

Why wouldn't a Mod be allowed to have an opinion?

Do your REALLY care if he or she agrees or disagrees with you?

Talk about wierd. That kinda blew me away. As long as anyone can articulate an idea and opinion half as good or better then me,I want to hear it..and I suck at it.

So...Mods can have an opinion.. Just wow.

Every time I read or hear the words Tea Party, I just have to roll my eyes and do a face palm.

Usually what follows is some tripe about how they are distracting, obstructing or holding hostage some pet project or law that continues to sap from those with money to give to those who don't.

I left has whined so much that recently, even when they had the majority, they still did not get a whole lot accomplished. And here we are, two and half years later, and if not blaming the Tea Party, they still blame Bush.
