I made a concept picture of the new indian shuttle you mentioned in your post.

I think it will look pretty close to this concept when up and running. Good luck India and well done.

Its good to see India has solved its extreme poverty situation and does not require any monetory aid from the rest of the world as it can afford these types of ventures.

Way to go India

Throwing money at a social problem does not always work as intended. Without something to be proud of as a nation, whats the point?

They go hand in hand whether people want to believe it or not...

Interesting how a space exploration thread about a revolutionary entry into global space exploration has more posts about economics and politics, and a bit of social studies.

The educated Indians are superb mathematicians, I don't want to stereotype a society but the Indian nation is very capable in life sciences, medicine, engineering and the whole gamut of 1st world nation's technological advancements. I enjoy people of India employed at the company I work for also, a leading world wide R&D company. The more the rest of the world's people focus their gaze to the stars the more our collective knowledge is enhanced.

Ah its true, i have met quite a few indian people, some are very smart people, i think its because their not as lazy as most of us here in the UK anyway. But the one thing that makes the majority of Indian people fairly successful in life, from what i have gathered from watching them, is that they are heavily family oriented, and they all pull together and work as a whole. Something that is lacking, in the UK anyway, not sure about the rest of the western world.

Good luck to them on their space trek, im sure if they find anything special in space they will share it with everyone else on Earth.

I have noticed this in every thread about India regarding technology, all of them become threads on sociology and economics.

You're full of crap. There is the poor side & the wealthy side. Thanks to the evil caste system. There are plenty living in poverty through no fault of their own. Plenty children with hiv. Get to actually know people in India before you people show your ignorance.
