Again WHY has he been published in a number of" peer reviewed journals", something does not fit, WHY was his work, findings, experiments and finale conclusions accepted and published;??????

Did you look at when he was published and on what topics? He wasn't published in journals in regards to aliens being cut in half with samurai swords, he was doing legitimate study.

Whole page read...It appears to be an email from his friend and colleague Nancy Talbott. Doesn't exactly prove his credentials.

Please don't get me wrong...i'm not trying to debunk as such, just looking for independant reputable credence regarding this chap, just can't seem to find any.

What "discussion"? You came on here accusing Levengood of being a fraud. I looked into your claim, and found that he has two masters degrees conferred by respectable institutions of higher learning, and is clearly a dedicated SCIENTIST.

And Kevin Randle did NOT make the allegation. You clearly haven't been keeping up with the thread, which now is more about discrediting a scientist than anything else. I never heard of any of them - Randle, Mosely, Andrews, Levengood - before today.

Randle is a veteran and a blogger and believes in Roswell's supposed ET event. So what?
How many times has an ATS member said "a blog is not a source"? Well, a blogger that didn't even say what he's being quoted as saying is CERTAINLY not a source. Oh, and he believes in Roswell.

Colin Andrews: a crop circle investigator like Levengood. A dowser, a photographer, a remote viewer, an electrical engineer. So what?

How do their opinions merit your praise, and Levengood's your disdain?

"Argument by proxy" doesn't even apply here. "Appeal to authority" is inapplicable as well. You have obviously made up your mind, and you have failed to debunk the several links that indicate he is a practiced, respectable, and respected scientist. (And btw, he obvi doesn't care if you or I believe him or not.)

Would you care, then, to explain the mutilated cattle anomalies? Or to educate us about the cellular anomaly found in the samples?

Well, boncho, maybe you and your mascot Gaddafi can tell us about what was found under that microscope, since you're on Niburu and all.....!

No one finds this odd?

Boncho, this is not odd in the least. The rancher obviously knew a rare culinary treat when he saw one. Helllllloooooooo:

Alien postickers

Roast rump of alien

Alien stuffed mushrooms

Alien pot pie

Come on, Boncho......deny ignorance!

I guess you could ask the schools for a transcript. I dunno, dear. I just saw this little story and thought it might be of interest in this forum. Oh well, it kept us busy for a while.

I'd like to talk to this rancher myself. Could probably tell you in a one hour interview whether he's stark raving mad or he's truthy.

Most frauds do have degrees from respectable institutions...Frauds aren't dummies by any means....

Scientists can also be frauds, and often times ARE....

Scientists with HIGHER levels of learning and accomplishment have stated that there is no Alien life....

Are they right too?.....

Are they more right because their level of education is even higher than that of Levengood?

Are our deeds measured by where we went to school?

I feel like you've jumped head on into this, without thinking things through...You're much too quick to believe what you hear, or read, and this could be dangerous for you....

Okay, here's an interesting little read regarding the conspiracies going on.

By James Carrion
Follow The Magic Thread

I have written before about the coming war between the Intelligence Agencies and Ufology and a series of recent events lead me to believe that this war which started some time ago is now in full battle.

You see, these intelligence agencies are absolutely obsessed with control and when an intelligence source like MUFON acts outside of the box the intelligence agencies would like to contain it in, then the gloves come off and the punches fly.

Now stay with me, if you're still here, guys....

If an intelligence source cannot be contained, then the next logical action is to terminate it, the same way NICAP was, once it outlived its usefulness to those in the know and in control. MUFON has been around for 40 plus years and to bring down an established grass roots organization requires much more finesse with proven destabilization techniques and tools. Let me share some of those with you.

Tool # 1: Agent Provocateurs

An Agent Provocateur per Wikipedia’s definition is a person employed by the police or other entity to act undercover to entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to a person or group that seeks to discredit or harm another by provoking them to commit a wrong or rash action.

When I was the International Director of MUFON, a MUFON member who recently joined approached me with the alleged criminal record of a MUFON State Director. It was suggested that I use the criminal record information as grounds for removing the State Director. I did not.

Subsequently this State Director became very vocal and critical of anything that I did at MUFON beginning with his criticism of the Discovery Channel show “UFOs Over Earth” that I was involved in. He started a long and tireless campaign of spreading false information and inciting others within MUFON to action.

Then this State Director’s criminal record was released to other MUFON members from an anonymous email address (perpetrator now known) which unleashed another endless tirade of accusations against myself and the MUFON Board.

Now you are probably wondering where I am going with this? Consider for a moment that the new MUFON member who gave me a copy of the criminal record, the alleged State Director victim and the perpetrator of the anonymous email are all on the same intelligence agency payroll and you can get an idea of how a defamation and smear campaign works. Agent provocateurs can be very effective in inciting unrest inside of an organization. I think many in MUFON can put names to the characters. I will reveal their names in due time.

Does this sound paranoid to you? Maybe, but in the shadowy world of spies and counter-spies where a country’s national security is at stake, you best put your paranoid hat on, because anything is fair game.

Tool # 2: Rumor and Innuendo

Internet message boards like the Open Minds Forum, Above Top Secret and even MUFON’s own original message board (RIP) which are based on public postings from anonymous individuals are an excellent medium for keeping smear campaigns going. I have already posted many articles on my blog about the disinformation tactics used on these boards and the dangers of anonymity. Critical minds can normally read between the lines, but many do not.

Despite the dangers these open media sources pose for the truth, it was still a very bad idea for the new MUFON International Director to trash MUFON’s original board in favor of one that does not allow divergence of opinion or is too heavily moderated. Now the anonymous intelligence agency thugs active on the remaining boards can point to this as evidence of an organization that is more interested in its own image rather than in promoting open discourse and truth.

Of course the intelligence agencies like to have multiple data streams to push their message, so UFO email lists are also used to reinforce the intended message.

And as for the question in the OP about whether MUFON is considered credible or not:

Tool # 3: Human Nature

It is human nature to become defensive when attacked especially if you feel you are outnumbered. Which defenses you mount will tell whether you repel the attack or are overrun. Sometimes the agencies will simply exploit ego or leadership style to ensure an intended result.

Clifford Clift has done an incredibly good job of causing dissent within MUFON’s ranks by firing productive State Directors, taking an authoritarian bureaucratic stance on managing MUFON's image at the expense of the truth, and is leading MUFON into dangerous waters by plotting a course that started with his actions trying to preserve the MUFON-BAASS relationship.

A petition to the MUFON Board of Directors is currently circulating the MUFON membership and across the Internet demanding changes within the MUFON Board. The ranks of MUFON are not happy.
www.alien-ufos.com...

This all opens up a whole new subject...
if this Bigelow character, who reportedly investigated this rancher's place, is buying up UFO sites, um....and MUFON itself is in a shambles....wow.

sigh.
I didn't, and don't, and won't, just believe everything I read and hear. I am capable of critical thinking. I find the story quite outlandish, but, as with many members, I want to believe. I do, however, expect people who gainsay others to have some credibility.

If you can point me to some sites that clarify for me whether or not there is objective "proof" anywhere to validate or invalidate any ET evidence at all, I would greatly appreciate it. I want to know the truth. That's all.
But, thanks for cautioning me!

Are our deeds measured by where we went to school?

Not in my book, no.
Deeds are measured by their being positive or negative in terms of spreading the truth, and oppressing or harming others. I don't see anywhere so far where Mr Levengood has attacked anyone else's credibility. But very possibly he has. Like I said, I don't know much about these peeps at all.

Well, what we have is someone who claimed that crop formations could not have been done by anything human in nature. Which was disproved when a couple of kids went out and made some on camera well over a decade ago.

We have a case from 2009, where the good Doctor claims he has found proof of alien life but:

When asked why he didn't send the tissue out for DNA testing, he said there wasn't enough material and it was very expensive and to do so.

*

Then you have Levengood's cohort claiming that there are pictures as well to this story, but there is no mention of them anywhere else:

"We also look forward to the hand speciman, and photos of the body you referred to with regard to your brother."

Hmmm , well if they cut ET in two then they should have a body also. This is nonsense folks.

At no point does he claim that he actually killed the being. He said nearly cut it in half which implies that he did not in fact cut it in half.

Read more carefully please, and if you are just going to repeat the same thing twenty people said before you you should just resist the temptation.

Not saying the guy is telling the truth just pointing out the deliberate smearing and attacks on the individual.

Thank you! When I was newer I probably would have signed off and gone to pout outside....but with my vast four months of ATS experience, I've learned to let the critiques bounce off of me pretty well. Thanks for reading carefully, too.

Still looking at it. I'm sure this has been covered before in the forum. According to the articles popping up on it now, NIDS (National Institute of Discovery Science) investigated it back when it happened.

NIDS was founded by the Real Estate mogul Robert Bigelow, who also bought the Skinwalker ranch in Utah.

Here is a skeptical look at Levengood and his research.

As I pointed out in an earlier post, this was supposed "proof" from two years ago. With supposedly additional evidence backing it yet nothing has come to light.

Simple wit should rule this case out, with the uh, Samurai sword-wielding farmers and whatnot. But I will see if I can provide more material for you.

LOL!!
You all are cracking me up. Thanks for that.
I am not claiming that this is truth. I simply posted a story I thought would be of interest to the Alien/UFO forum readers. Gimme a break, fam! It may be rubbish, a big load of crap, and it may not. So far no one responding has offered hard sources to convince me that I should simply disregard it.

And, how is it the thread had 8 stars until 5 minutes ago, and now it has 40 more? What is that? Oh well, they'll probably disappear....or....maybe the aliens are reading along....and .....
whatever.....

Popping open a beer for now....
everyone, thanks for playing!
