Mother living at same apt for last 20 years says sun is off kilter

Once again I'll post simply because of where I live. The Sun is right were it should be.

Since the topic here is demonstrably impossible, to continue to believe it is hard to understand. It leads me to wonder about the ages of the believers? Certainly the education level is very low which suggests children.

With a simple search and tiny bit of reading you can prove to yourself this idea is completely false. It won't make you popular to pursue this crazy idea and refusing to even do basic research to see if you are right just indicates laziness; which again won't make you popular but will lead to you being ignored entirely.

My first thought is either you are making up the part about your mother or you have planted the idea in her head and she believes simply because you are her child.

Saying something that is clearly not true over and over again will not make it true. This is not even a debate as it is so simple to prove it is wrong.

answering my question with a question does not answer my question at all. What is your theory on why other people see a change, and others dont? Im not talking about all the fancy software, or other technical data to quantify here, what is your opinion on my question, don't try to avoid it.

And also, if the sun were out of alignment, there would be reports(scientific) from all over the globe. Even TPTB could not keep a lid on that one, imo.

I've seen your post ALL over ATS today. I wonder what scientific credentials you have? Number 1. And 2, you seem... *what's the word..what's the word* angry? pissed? puzzled? at others peoples interest or experience's when it comes to the sun...and other worldly happening's's'ss's.

If people have a question (?) or an experience this is exactly where they need to come to share so we can collectively figure it out. I'm not saying your opinions are wrong...but the way your going about your opinions, quite frankly, are. Don't make someone feel stupid for the questions they ask. Instead...give your educated opinion and at the end of the day...maybe someone will learn from it...or maybe they won't. Maybe...just maybe...you might learn from them.

Sometimes the way we come off makes us look a certain way... *mean*
People shouldn't be afraid to ask a question..even if it's to do with the Sun.

What I find mysterious is what the OP stated... When the OP heard Mom say the sun seems off... the OP was reminded of POST at ATS on the same subject. If 1 person says something... blahblah... if 2 to 3 people say something..blahblahblah... if over 3 people say something... there just might be something to it. Maybe the sun isn't off... maybe it's our own perspective...but why?

Not directed at me, but I'll try.

The power of suggestion. Somebody who for whatever reason comes to believe a falsehood. They repeat it over and over again planting the seed in peoples minds. Those with enough knowledge of course ignore it as it's impossible that it is true. Young people and uneducated people for whatever reason conclude it is true based on false logic and an inability to research it due to illiteracy.

Then what happens is by this time they have so much emotional baggage invested that they completely ignore facts or people trying to explain to them why it is impossible. Instead of taking the mature route of simply saying I was mistaken, they get angry and start grasping at straws to avoid any embarrassment; not realizing that people will respect them more for admitting their error and will not hold it against them. They don't understand that those who don't are people who's opinions of them don't matter anyway.

At the point it becomes obvious they are wrong it becomes a matter of stubborn pride. Pride is second only to jealousy as a reason for irrationality.

No. It did tilt us but it was a very small fraction of what you said. Somewhere around 25 centimeters (10 inches). Barely the most minute fraction of a fraction of a degree.

How do you explain the runways being off in all the airports as well? 10" would not be noticed nor would it cause them to have to repaint the numbers on the runways. Actually, he was quite right. Repeat after me, "Runway numbers are based on magnetic course. Themagnetic pole migrates." The magnetic poles could do a complete reversal and the sun would come up over the same tree/building/mountain/whatever. According to the world's geophysical experts, the tilt from the japan earthquage was 25 centimeters. One degree of tilt would be 66.67 miles, or roughly 11 million centimeters or 2.3x10^-6 degrees. So that's .000002 degrees of tilt from the earthquake.

Well she said to me thatthe sun is off kilter. She has a fav chair she sits in and keeps it in certain spots for max sun exposure, and says that after 20 years ,she now gets more shade and different shade to sun ratios.

I brushed it off until coming onto ats to read the news and browse and found the Inuit posting about the sun being off. Weird. I tbink somethings up.

My mum once told me, kids come from cabbage patches.

That's a good point. I'm not sure how to respond to that other than to say in the long history of Earth, that civilization isn't too old. The actual tilt of the Earth change so incredibly slowly, during this span, it would apear not to have changed at all.

Also, I'm skeptical about the pyramids lining up with anything. Surely, as the world turns, from a certain angle, statistically speaking, any arbitrary points are very likely to end up corresponding with a star's position.

Even the sources given to me were edited and wrong. where one was biased and strange, still having posted predictions of events that never occurred, others confirmed my analysis precisely. technically, the Sun does move throughout our galaxy, but we wouldn't notice because we stay in the same "general" orbit around it regardless of where it is traveling in the galaxy. the travel is up and down motions which take 26,000 years to complete a full motion. 13,000 years up, 13,000 years back down. we will be completing that 26,000 year phase on 12/21/12...yes, the galactic center rising with the Sun in front of it in the sky.

Secondly, even if she were, so what? If anything, that would mean that she has experienced many more things than younger people.

OP, obviously I have no idea what could be the cause of your mother's impression that there's something amiss with the Sun. There could be any number of reasons.
Ruling out every natural explanation that she may have forgotten about, I would suggest to look into possible causes of altered perception (perhaps on a wider scale).

I would never have dreamed of such a thing before July 19, but it seems that on that day more than a few unrelated inidividuals around the world seemed to notice an anomaly in the behavior of the Moon.

I cannot envisage a physical reason for that - it seems absolutely impossible - so it must have been something affecting the perception. Or.... I don't know. I cannot see any other reason. Not in healthy inidividuals, of sound body and mind, with no history of alcohol or substance abuse, such as myself.

There are going to be changes.

First, the 23 degree tilt of the Earth actually moves in a circle. Polaris is our "North Star" now, but it was not always so. The time for the axis to complete one full circle, I believe, is 26,000 years. In thirteen thousand years, the Earth's North Pole will be pointing away from Polaris.

Also, the magnetic poles of the Earth slowly move. Different sources quote different lengths of time, but it is known the Northern Magnetic Pole has been on the move and some speculate its movement is accelerating.

Throw in the fact that the planet is revolving, in a wobbly fashion, around a star, which is moving through space, and taking it's family with it, through a galaxy which is moving through the universe, at increasing speed nonetheless, and the possibility for noticeable shifts is not so farfetched.

There are many things we know, but we are not omniscient, so expecting to be able to explain everything we encounter or will encounter immediately is human arrogance.
