If I rotate my steering wheel then I call it turning..
I'm getting into semantics with you again though I will point out that the majority of links to this issue clearly say they are TURNING the craft..
At least I'm not the onlt fool in your eyes then.

They are also saying NASA will take pics..
Now I guess you'll get into semantics on that also..
Are the pics optical, infrared etc...

Watchign Elenin is like watching an old war movie, always hoping the Germans win against the US.

It's a good thing reality is not determined by the number of websites that post something in error. The majority of links have it wrong. If you look at the STEREO website it clearly says that a roll will be performed, just as it was on the 23rd. A roll is a particular maneuver. It is not a matter of semantics.

Yes, images will be made because the comet will be between the Sun and the satellite. It is a target of opportunity. Nothing more.

Fine. Next time you're in a plane ask the pilot to roll 135º. Same as a 135º turn, right?

The satellite is not being turned to image the comet. It would appear in the field of view even if no maneuver was done.

For starters it's says to "observe comet elenin". Clearly the roll you have diagramed, wouldn't observe Elenin. However for it to say 135 degree roll to observe comet elenin. I would be led to believe that it's a 135 spin, pivot, roll whatever, a movement in the direction of Elenin to be able to view Elenin. Surely this make sense to you.

Rolling STEREO while observing the Sun isn't observing Elenin.

What's your thoughts?

Actually pilots would "bank" to 135 degrees..

That's altering 2 axis BTW.

This is nothing more than a made up scare tactic, sensationalism., so i will continue to believe that little ele, is a little thing.

NASA only states (in the minutes) that they might be able to observe the comets tail. The other sites have nothing to do with the NASA. This means the title of this thread is misleading.

Surely Mods this kind of distortion should not be allowed? Is it any wonder NASA is accused of lying when it gets constantly misquoted like this!?!?!?!?

Actually I can argue against it. It sure as hell is not comet elenin creating the gravity field of a star. Elenin, I believe is inside Mars' orbit now and if it was a brown dwarf would be visible to us all. The gravitational effects would also be extremely apparent, which they are not.

It's hiding behind an edited box, and can only be seen with infrared on. Turn the microwave up a bit and you can see the outer rim of the whole object.

It's also on or level with our ecliptic plane.

How is this viewable in those pics without an infrared scope? This isn't visible without infrared....and I cannot see anywhere on there that mentions infrared.

From listening to the UFO forum, if a UFO has the tech as so many feel they to
they would be here already,,it is assumed they can galaxy hop,. so why think they
are in a cluster,... on their way here..
Maybe we should wait for the next crop circle to tell us more news..
