There is another thing here -- Bachmann declares -- where did these people get the notion that they get to pick and choose what is off limits and what is not -- that is the public's prerogative.

Spouses and adult children are fair game, sorry. The people who provide the most influence over a leader are relevant topics for review and its illogical to suggest otherwise.

What her husband is all about is certainly as relevant as what Obama's preacher was all about.

If you choose to live with a nutter with extreme views, you are doing one of two things. You are making a compromise in which case it begs the question of where else you will compromise or it indicates that you don't find the nutter's views all that nutty.

Either one of them is a reasonable line of inquiry.

If Mr. Bachmann makes public statements, then he is fair game. As far as I know, however, he hasn't.

Michele Obama does and did make public statements.

He is on tape on a radio show -- that's not public enough?

It is hard to play the game when you keep moving all the lines around.

Yeah it was plenty public all around. I could not help but notice though the resemblance between the people that LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVED those undercover ACORN videos and the people that were prepared to defend Marcus for having a private conversation that was taped without his permission.
Politics is funny. Too bad Marcus has taken more than one turn at the microphone himself. Odd that the people thata defend Bachmann did not know that isn't it?

Murdock news doesn't report everything -- sometimes fair and balanced is a mite embarrassing.

I still thin this is the most salient point thus far.

She knows the media will be making fun of her apparently closteted and flamingly homosexual husband, so she is putting the meme out there early that anyone who points this out is somehow victimizing her.

The notion that it does not matter is absolutely comical.

Don Nixon was a flake. He repeated used his brother to get involved in bogus land deals, some with some pretty shady figures. Nixon had senior aids assigned to keep Don in line and got regular updates and kept track of his brother, distracting him from the job at hand

Billy Carter was a distraction to Jimmy, looking to cash in on his brother over and over again and again required senior staff to manage. Same as above with the distractions

Kitty Dukakis was drinking nail polish remover she was such a booze hound. That would have been a fantastic thing for a first lady had that disaster wound up in the White House

Bill Clinton spent enormous resources looking to quite the nonsense Hilliary was involved in with the Rose Law Firm, cattle futures, Jim Guy Tucker and the rest of the semi-legal stuff she was doing when he was governor

Sorry, its a public position and a public world with a hostile media. It matters. The mere possibility of coersion makes it matter. If she's concerned or embarrased about her husband, then she should have cut him loose long ago.

From FoxNews, where reporters have to apologize for softball questions, twice.
