Hitler by his own definition and his own speeches was a Socialist. Socialists hated communists because of the violence. Think Stalin and the Russian communists. But who can ever make sense of leftist ideology when even they cant.

But the Nazi and Marxist-Leninists shared a faith in government, an absolute ruler, totalitarian control over all significant economic and social matters for the good of the working man, concentration camps, and genocide/democide as an effective government policy (only in his last years did Stalin plan for his own Holocaust of the Jews).

As much as communists hate capitalists, they still accept funding from wealthy capitalist industrialists. How could socialism survive without taxing the greedy capitalists?

Tea Party saying they are for the people is a demagogic gambit to get there support. But what are they doing. Fighting tooth and nail to give as much money to the richest 2% while destroying America and trying to force it into bankruptcy and a fire sale of its holdings so that the richest 2% can buy it up.

Don't forget that Hitler also was fascinated with the occult, and was obsessed with obtaining the Spear of Destiny and the Shroud of Turin so that he could have the power. He was recruited by the Bavarian Illuminati

i grew up in america when you could ride in the bed of a pickup
when cars had no seat belts
you could drink from a creek
ride a bike with no helmet
buy a washer that lasted half a lifetime
buy a tv that lasted same
we made things of quality purpose and all profited from the boom of this great country
now we make nothing except for military weaponry
so more unemployed needy people why ?
military corporate political entities control all money
then blame the poor citizens for their destruction of this once great nation
i dunno but i but the blame elsewhere maybe not stop wars that create destruction for profit
just my honest opinion as a once proud veteran

This entire thread is soooooo sad...and also kinda scary. Mostly because it shows people are so entrenched in "left vs right" that they can't even use their brains anymore to see the real reason behind the crisis.

Here's an analysis of what really caused the current crisis. Yes, it's long...but we're facing a complex issue that can't be summed up with "Neo-Liberal Communists and Marxists are destroying America"

i agree with much of what you say
but i have a radical idea that i cannot believe is coming from myself but what would this do
force corporations larger than say 50 mil to be dissolved to private american based and staffed companies
that have a stake in america and its citizens
force multi billion dollar corps that move operations abroad for profit to no longer buy or sell in america
tax all corporate profits like you and me
no lobbies allowed to buy gov laws
a citizen government as designed by founders
1 term no benefit and back to private life
no pay to politicians unless they create x number us jobs
no result scorched earth policy replace everyone with jury pool like citizens that have a stake in making things right
politicians who create these messes with no penalty to self and only worry about keeping the scheme going tried as treasonous fools just my nickel

I've noticed that American neo-conservatives on this forum like to shout words like communist, Marxist and socialist but I have strong doubts they truly understand their meanings and could explain their definitions when asked in real but I guess it's somehow a 'cool' thing to shout.

And talking about destroying your country. The last time I checked it was the banking elites and war mongers that caused the financial turmoil the US is in now. Do you think these people are also Marxists, socialists and communists?

Since this is just a rant I think I will respond with a little rant of my own.

First of all neo-liberalism has nothing to do with communism or Marxism. Ronald Reagan was on of neoliberalisms greatest supporters. I would be willing to bet that you couldn't tell me the first thing about Marxism or communism from your own bank of knowledge without looking it up on Wikipedia. You may be able to tell me something about the philosophies that you learned from being propagandized, as you put it, from the flood of propaganda that hit America during the cold war. Your fear of Marxism is completely irrational and is more than likely based on half truths and propaganda. America is in no danger of being over taken by Marxist or communist.

You know what IS destroying America? The anti-intellectual, ultra-nationalist, and far right wing policies that are constantly widening the income gap and perpetuating corporate socialism. Educate yourself before you post again please. Obama and the democrats are not Marxist, socialist, communist, secret muslims, or fascists. Intelligent people laugh at the certain group of people who throw those terms around as if they are all the same thing and a person can be all of them at once. Words have actual meanings. I am a progressive, and proud of it, and have serious issue with neo-liberalism.
