Ok, so I was just watching CNN and they were talking about the debt ceiling shenanigans. Very randomly, they bring up that republicans watched a scene from "the town" to motivate themselves. The scene they supposedly watched is pretty sick. It's right before when they have to maim two people, and the people in the movie say something about we know it's not right but we have to do it anyway.
They had a democratic senator on who said this. I'm pretty sure he said that the republicans actually did this, and the senator was not using this as just an analogy.

If you watch pretty much any interview with republicants it's pretty obvious...they're freaking insane.

They want amurika to crash and burn..so the black guy don't win again.

If that is true, perhaps that is the precise reason the top ranks of TPTB allowed Obama to win the election??

Nothing motivates quite like Ben Affleck. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, but you bombed my heart

Huh. Never thought I'd be jumping to the defense of the Republicans, but this actually kind of makes sense from their point of view.

No matter what the government does as regards this crisis, someone is going to get hurt. but they have to do something.

Of course, the people being bludgeoned to death in one of the options are Rich People's "Right" Not To Pay Taxes.
