Sorry but if I was walking around in the dark with a flash light in the woods and saw something standing upright that was completely white and looked like a bigfoot I would have screamed like a little girl.

Notice how the video ends immediately after he spots the bigfoot.

He probably cut out the ten minutes of girly screams at the end of the video so his friends wouldn't make fun of him.

What proportion of sightings occur at night? I know of a few fairly famous nocturnal encounters, suggesting that, unlike other great apes, bigfoot is active at night. Because of that, I would expect the chatoyant reflection in the eyes not seen in this video.

Why was this guy out in the woods filming with a flash light? I would like to know the story behind this. Considering how dark it is in the woods, I would think you would lose your footing if you're not watching where you step. I agree the guys reaction is in question and if he is a tough guy why not continue shooting?

"As it grimaces the nose moves. Thats not a mask guys."

What a crock, this guy is clearly a victim of wanting to believe. I find the idea of Bigfoot-type creatures intriguing but this looks like a guy wearing a papier-maché mask. Also, what are the odds of that tiny torch light hitting the creature right in the face? It was basically pitch black.

I noticed one poster at Crypto identified it as a rework of a hoax from Australia I think.

The last time I got interested in a Bigfoot thread was the infamous one of national acclaim, the Bigfoot in the Freezer.

To me watching the enhanced version it looks very human and attempting to posture to look like something not human. I think that gives it away.

the way he managed to stop dead on when he seen the creature screams hoax to me. especially since he wasnt steady at all before that and he turned the camera off immediately after seeing it. im sorry but if i seen something like that the last thing im going to do is turn the camera off. i dont know though because i wasnt there.

That video just plain freaks me out. I usually judge a video like this based on how good it gives me the willies and this one gives me the willies pretty good. Even though, as another member pointed out, it seems preposterous.

I watched it over and over again, frame by frame on the 'Bigfoot' parts. I thought for a moment that he seemed to move his head and neck as a unit, as though it were a costume, but the enhanced video that AlienReality links to shows that the neck movements make sense when seen with the rest of the body. The thing lowers itself a little as it gets traction to go right.

It's my new favorite video of the sort in a long time. Thanks for bringing it out on to ATS, OP.

Several people have commented on the cameraman and his poor choice of flashlight as being suspicious. I have to disagree somewhat..

I grew up in a rural area in Ohio. No ambient city lights within 30 or so miles. I never had a problem walking our property in the dark, and it was pretty heavily wooded. Your eyes just get acclimated. I would guess this guy is pretty familiar with the lay of the land, and only grabbed the flashlight as an afterthought...

But why did he bring the camera? That's the real question...

my opinions on the veracity of this claim violoate 11 clauses of the T&C - so i shall skip that part of my post

however - to those people who believe that this is genuine :

this clip falsifies many previous claims of the alledged bigfoots intelligence , cunning , stealth abilities , perceptivness abilities to evade humans etc etc

you cannot have it both ways

Slighty odd too how the whole video camera and torch at the ground, at the ground, at the ground, slowly up, slowly up RIGHT ON BIGFOOTS FACE! ahhhhh

Definitely an interesting video, but I have to agree with the others...his lack of a genuine/shocked reaction to the sudden sight of a white bigfoot, out in the middle of the woods, at night, along with the lack of retinal reflection is a dead give away that this is a hoax.

At least they'll have a great Halloween costume now!

Fantastic ability to capture, no, frame the head in the light like he did, just look at the photo above, clearly a fake, how many times do you think did they had to re do it to get the head in the light like that?, giving credit to these guys is just going to encourage more of this from stupid attention seeking idiots.

I agree with everybody else wrt to the perfect framing of the creature's head after 30 seconds of stumps and leaves and roots. Also, if you're walking through the woods at night, and you hear heavy breathing like that (which I just thought was the cameraman
) wouldn't you notice it? You can hear the breath sounds over the leaves; that's some big time noise, and would be hard to miss.

And a flashlight with half dead batteries at that. Going to have to call fake on this one.

I'd have to agree with previous posters, the lack of reaction from the cameraman isn't convincing to say the least. Also, does anyone know of any apes that are active at night and don't possess the 'glare' that this alleged creature lacks? I find it weird that it doesn't have a glare yet seems to be active at night.

On another note, depending on how deep in the forest this guy is, he's pretty courageous to be walking around alone with only that laser-pointer-of-a-flashlight!

well as aggie man astutely pointed out, great apes lack the tatpetum lucidum, which causes the glare. and as far as i know, sasquatch isn't a normal ape, and we know nothing about them, so to assume they wouldn't be nocturnal like any other animal that isn't, is foolish and illogical.

and while reactions can be very telling, i'm sure none of you would react the way you think you would when you actually come face to face with a sasquatch all alone in the woods. i think i'd be too shocked to even speak or scream and then instantly be too afraid to scream, for sure. lets hope you do catch it on film though.

there were reports of strange noises in the area. that is the real answer.

there's actually tons of reports of sasquatch cautiously/curiously approaching people or observing them.
