Japan has passed a law that will enable the police and contractors to monitor internet activity without restriction to "cleanse" the Internet of any "bad" Fukushima radiation news. As I previous reported, Japan has officially ordered the censorship of any reporting of the truth about the Fukushima nuclear radiation fallout by ordering telecommunications companies and web masters to scrub any stories negative stories from the about the disaster. Something like this happened with the oil spill in the gulf. BP bought key words and phrases on the internet to control the information and you could be arrested for taking pictures of the spill. Well here they have taken it a step further. They are going to remove information they dont like from the net all together...
The Japanese people deserve the truth, only with the truth can you make an informed decision....

Some of us posting on the Japan Nuclear thread realized this was coming, we
were certain that there were even attacks on the thread.

Many of us saved webpages, and stories. They can rewrite history, but they can not
make us forget.

Thanks for posting this, Bad on them.

I think and/ or hope that this is impossible,
there are so many People here in Japan with a high interest into this Topic!
Many People show their Radiation Readings via the Tube, daily Motion or Ustream,
many Blogs exist too!

I really like to see the original (Japanese) Source but can't find it now,
if Mr. Higgins is right i promise to create 5.000 Copies incl. Distribution!

We need more radiation Readings for our Food
and we need more educational Material!

I try to keep all my family and friends up-to-date with Fukushima news through Facebook. It's amazing how people react. Some think i'm obsessed with it or something simply because i share the latest findings, others are very thankful for the updates. Sadly, most disregard the news completely.

My point? We all have a responsibility to Japan and the world to ensure people aren't allowed to forget the problems STILL occuring in Japan. This goes for so many unfortunate events across the globe at the moment.

We must be careful though never to force-feed or preach to people, but must always ensure that people are given the OPTION to remain informed. I take the duty fairly seriously to be honest. I find force-feeding people information and trying to force opinions on them only serves as an injustice to the news you are trying to spread. People push it away and become strongly sceptical when it is pushed on them. A soft touch is needed.

Thanks for posting this thread. The news will be on my Facebook shortly

Where did someone get arrested for taking pictures of the spill? There are hundreds of photos (if not thousands) of the oil spill, a ton of them from professional photographers, and none of them resulted in the photographer being arrested.

Or do you mean someone got detained by the DHS for taking pictures of a BP refinery? Because that had nothing to do with oil spills but rather a suspected threat (a man taking pictures of what many would deem a high terrorist target). There was also one single case of very weak threats of arrests by BP contractors (or Coast Guard, nobody could confirm) but nothing came of that and were, again, weak threats.

Unless I missed something on my search (which I'd be glad to be informed about) there hasn't been anyone arrested for simply taking pictures of the oil spill.
