Theo Jansen's "Strandbeests" - Video, very cool.

Not sure if this guys work has been posted before in this detail (had a look) but Theo Jansen's "living" robotic creations are built from plastic tubing, and your imagination won't come close.

These are very cool and have obviously taken alot of time and thought...check out his "Strandbeests" as he calls them.

Beyond cool... just think of the possibilities...
A new way of transportation ?...Want to move your house
from one part of the beach to another...one block to another???

... its amazing how complex these "animals" are using only bottles, electrical conduit(tubing), and the tubes to carry the stored air. They can detect water and dry sand and even have a binary "computer" that measure the steps so it knows where it is at all times.

I cried. This is true genius.
