Compared to previous years, a lot of crazy and terrible stuff has happened so far in this year alone. I wonder if by 2012, they will increase exponentially. Seems a likely possibilty...

I'd say this thread has a brilliant point, a way of indexing the main thread for each event of each year, would be a very useful thing to have bookmarked.

Could you please explain to me why Hurricane Katrina is in the list? Was there something explosive released regarding it this year? Otherwise, thanks for the overview of larger events.

As for the point of the post.. it's really to highlight the major world events that have happened this year mainly.
The way in which the year has unfolded and the nature of the events and their global impact.

On that note if i have missed any major stories please feel free to post them here..

I actually wanted to put up a couple of phots for each post but couldnt work out how to embed pictures..
So if you know how feel free to add them to anything you post.

Good point but that's why i think its best to stick with the major world events that most of the world know about.. not just is conspiracy quacks
