That is one possible headline if we can get our heads out of our butts. I hear constantly that Obama is breaking this law and he's breaking that law. If this is so, then why has no one put this together in a real effort to bring him to justice. I am definetly not any type of law professional or political law student, but Im sure with all the great minds at ATS we can come up with a step by step plan to bring those who are accountable to justice. So lets start with what actual laws have the Prez broken.

ETA: before anyone says this, Im going to:
-Step 1: find out broken laws
-Step 2:

-Step 3: profit

Damn, I actually thought Obama was going to prison thanks to the way you wrote your title!

And FYI, presidents never go to prison. Did Nixon go to prison? Nope.
The criminal law only applies to the ordinary people, not to the rich elite.

If he has truly broken any laws (which is debatable) , keep in mind his predecessor (Bush) actually broke laws.

If you are wondering which laws.

Authorizing illegal wiretapping on American Citizens.

Authorizing Torture.

Lying to congress to mislead them into allowing the Iraq war.

I don't know why people forget these actual crimes.

Sooo... if Bush isn't in jail for actual crimes, what makes you think Obama would go to jail for speculative crimes?

Wow that was a luring headline.

Not sure what else to say except that.

But he is a constitutional scholar! He can do no wrong.

I believe that both he and his administration has stretched the legality many times, with the exception of Project Gunrunner/Operation Fast and Furious/Operation Castaway, oh yea, and that Libyan thing. I believe that those are defiantly illegal. But I confess ignorance as I am not a lawyer.

I think that so many people have a problem with this President is that so things about him are unknown or vague.

No President of the United States will ever go to Prison in the United States for any reason whatsoever, it just won’t happen.

The following President will always Pardon what ever crime was committed.

hmmmm, I will try to say this as artfully as possible. Obama is doing fine, IMHO he is doing one hell of a job considering all the resistance and shenanigans he has encountered since day 1 from the GOP. now, I see OP you are from Texas. IMHO, your governor is a whack ...... a bonafide, bible spewing, lil bit of crazy in them eyes whack. perhaps you should turn your attention to Texas and your governor Perry. maybe you could tell us about the religious fringe conference he is getting ready to host next weekend for starters. I guess what I'm saying is maybe you should try cleaning up the mess at home before you take on Obama / America? .................. peace

He's the last President of the United States.

There won't be a follow-up President to grant him a pardon.

if the Federal Government defaults...that means no revenue to fund another Presidential election. He could very well end up going to prison.

For TREASON...sending Trillions bailing out foreign countries/banks and letting our own Government DEFAULT!

Hey dude, I'm with ya on that. I cant stand Perry. That MF'er is a supporter of the Trans Texas Corridor. Good thing that we have a bunch of good ole boys down in south Texas that put a stop to that B.S....for now. But going after Perry is like spending your time and energy going after a henchmen when you have the crime boss in your sights.

~Pervius~
I said back in 2003 (before I knew of B.O.) that we wouldnt have a 2012 president. I bet my father $1000 bucks that it wont happen.
But in retro spec I lose that bet either way.
1- we do have another US prez: I lose $1000
2- We do not have a 2012 prez: I win the bet, but wont get any money because all hell would have appently broken loose.

Maybe we should start small. Like Rick Perry maybe? Throw that joker in hole for about 40 years, then maybe we can talk about the rest of the Texas republicans. Start small.

i wish, Almost believed the title for a few seconds, what i cant understand is how people aren't rioting right now, i mean he's just said he can't gaurantee that people are going to see any of the money that theyve worked for and saved through social security, if was an American whose paid into that for the past 20 years and i heard my president say that, there wouldn't be a president anymore.Millions of Americans, and all it really takes is one. I thought he was going to visit a prison, and mandate that all inmates join the Nation of Islam, so that they could feel good about themselves. "Goddamn America!"

The riots wont be over money. The real riots will start most likely this fall, due to food shortages. We are the major food supplier of the world. As other members have pointed out, our crops across the midwest have been heavily reduced due to the flooding, droughts, and wild fires.

You can take peoples money, you can take peoples freedom, but when you mess with their ability to feed themselves, THATS when your gonna see the riots begin.

"It's all Bush's fault!!111ones!" Um, Obama had the chance to stop a lot of what Bush started. But what did he do? He kept them. Which makes him what? Anyone? You there, no? Ok, anyone? Bueller? It makes Obama just as guilty as Bush. So please, no more excuses for another pitiful president. If Obama was truly any different, he'd have put his foot down on a lot of the crap Bush started.

I am impressed that you are so bold in your defense of Bush so many years later.

Most who once supported everything he did have long since abandoned such sentiments, but you keep truckin on. Good on ya, mate!
