Water is something taken for granted.

3.575 million people die each year from water-related disease.

The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns.

Check out the facts. I wish I could do more to share water. It has to be possible to help this situation. If I had the resources I would go do some plumbing myself. What if everyone just shared. People just living their day with an objective of survival. Count your blessings.

ATS would suggest that they get a job or invent a water creating device... The real question is who do you
propose pay for that water? Communist water is bad and will make the people worse than if they had no water.

I think inhabiting lands with little water isn't working.

Industrial ruin of waterways and the water table should be just as criminal as robbing a bank.

and

Indigionous people have to stop pee peeing and pooping in their drinking water supply.

Whatever the case, I wish I could help, there are a lot of things I would like to assist in...

Water is an essential element in life. The world is 70% water or close to it.

Even the privatization of water is a way for companies to control lives of millions and make a mass profit.

If we make it past 2012 there are other issues. Long term sustainability is an important thing to consider for our

water. Does anyone else think about this stuff?

I am all for everyone having access to safe water. I am just wondering if fluoride treated water is considered safe. This kind of reminds me of an AP story a few years ago that explained many urban areas in the USA had contaminants in the tap water such as pharmaceuticals and agricultural run-off. If North American water is considered safe I dread to find out what other people are drinking. Thanks for sharing though OP, makes me be thankful for what I have and not to take it for granted.

So many people believe different things about fluoride. I just did some research because I was sure there was already fluoride in water. There is calcium fluoride in water naturally. I guess some people even believe its like giving medicine without consent. I can't say I have a preference but I doubt its necessary to add fluoride to water.

I avoid tap water as much as possible due to the fluoride they put in it. I drink spring water that has natural fluoride like you mentioned. I can't verify this claim, but I have heard many times that the fluoride most cities put in their water is a chemical by-product from several different sources and is considered a toxic waste. Another thing that bothers me about fluoride is that they tell you to call the poison control center if you ingest the toothpaste, but they feel obligated to put it in our drinking supply. Oh well, not much we can do about it. If you avoid tap water you still get the fluoride from any juices or processed foods you get. Damned if you do damned if you don't. I still count myself lucky to have the option to choose my poison

Even the beers we drink are laced with fluoride water

Luckily I have found a European beer made from natural spring water, so they claim on the label. I sure hope they aren't lying to me.

Calcium flouride is naturally occuring, and Soduim flouride is the biproduct that is added into water. Soduim flouride is the bad guy

hi
for years ive drank tea
when the kettle is boiled i hold the switch down and keep it boiling for at least 30seconds
now you say my beer is contaminated
i like to think as an alcoholic perspective
that the alcohol will kill the fluride lol
lets hope so...
sorry to the people that die daily for lack of...

Given the choice of water containing sodium flouride or water so polluted it's certain to shorten my lifespan (or even non-existant), I am not going to think twice.

Let's not turn this serious issue into a tinfoil debate as usual ATS.

Even beyond the chemicals in our water. A lot of places have no plumbing to even access water and if they did imagine the chemicals in there water. This topic is so huge and can't be generalized into fluoride chemicals in water. Its so much bigger than that.

Things like this make me feel like such an ungrateful douche when I get mad at a slow internet connection, getting noob-tubed, somebody getting my fast-food order wrong, and so on.

I'll do my best to appreciate every drop of water from now on.

water.org isnt the saviour it tries to potray.

water credits in third world countries are as much a scam as carbon credits..

water.org is funded by David Rothschild, it works on giving loans to communities, fully knowing they cant pay them back and end up owning them.

its the same banking greedy takeover thats happening with the economy, only painted in pretty colours.

Matt damon, who co-founded water.org thinks he's doing his bit for the world but they rake in billion from it.

how about you wealthy snobs just fund pipelines instead of selling the poor mobile phones so they know when their water trucks arrive..

dirty, dirty shameless tactics by the famous greedy wealthy powerhungry elites

#ing wealthy pricks

dont fall for this guys. This isnt helping anyone but the bankers.... and matt damon
