So there's a thing splashing water and another thing with a rocket attached to it? The plot thickens.

Erm, no. It's water that was disturbed while they were getting out, causing a splash.

Kinda freaky was my first impression. If you haven't noticed when the guy JUST gets out of the water, there is something happening to his LEFT (that was scary). It seems something was splashing around in the water!!!! Then, after he gets out, that same thing flies right by like speedy gonzales. Maybe it WAS speedy gonzales!?>!> Yeah, I care if it is real, hence S&F. Tough to debunk. Maybe more inverting shoudl be done to see.. Thanks for the post!

how bizzare,I did see what looked to be a pair of skinny legs come out of the water behind the first guy.As for the thing running it seems as though it's moving so fast it's hair is blown straight behind it,crap this is as strange as it gets.If this is a cgi I would like to know how it was done................... If someone catches a odd anomaly on video how does a person prove its what they saw?It seems if it's not a obvious cgi,how do you convince anyone that it was real?Video isn't proof nor pictures, what exactly constitutes solid evidence?

I call fake.

I kid on the left looks right at it as its running back across.

He has no reaction what so ever.

Ok, something is not right, I really didn't like the way these boys look. And of course since they don't speak English I don't trust them to begin with.
While the boy in front is walking I notice his arm disappears! I think he is an alien or one of those Lizard Aliens.
I mean how can a normal boy just casually walking have his arm disappear?

Ok now that you see the still picture of a half armed boy you know that the crappy phone camera can't take anything that is slightly in motion.
All it has to be is a kid running and it will be a blur

and for the blur to run forward then run back tells us that it was staged!
Animals run in one direction to get out of dodge, Only humans are that stupid to run back in order to say hi to mom!

The problem I have is the cameraman doesnt move the camera in an attempt to follow it, IMO it would be an instinctive thing to do if you captured something like that. He just keeps filming them 2 guys the whole time.

Man, i needed a morning laugh today. For obvious reasons, this is 100% a waste of time. I think the real issure here is why we, as a community, lack the common sense, reason and logic not to give nonsense like this the time of day. The longer we marginalize obvious idiocy like this, the less we will have to deal with it. After years and years (because of the damage already done) we will be able to promote this subject without looking like a bunch of ignorant, tin foil hat wearing morons.

Now, before I spend the time listing the immediate things that send up a warning flag that means this video would be ignored, why don't some of you put on your thinking caps and cut me off at the pass?

I getting tired of being right all the time. Years after I am banned here and marginalized by the majority of the ignorant participants in this subject I will still feel bad for the fact that we can't ever be taken seriously until common sense, reason and logic prevents moronic stuff like this from being discussed. I say moronic, because in my imaginary world the average person interested in this subject can use simple logic, reason and common sense to discount this idiotic video without further thought.

After the long winded epilogue and sad story of your life you still do not mention why you think this is a waste of time. Because it is a _____blank? You don't know or you would say right?
Are you unable to see the video playing and so viewing the thing running is impossible?
I just don't understand why you think speculating on this is moronic and I notice you troll threads like this quite a bit and offer the same kind of "certain it is nothing at all" regardless of the facts and evidence.
You seem to hold a small, narrow and limited thought capacity in extraordinarily high regard. Maybe you should leave that brain to science. Are you an organ donor? Tell them to give it back you weren't done with it yet.
Just teasing you, they were all good points you had...whatever they were.

You couldn't move the camera that fast. I can't even pause it to catch it now.
I don't know what it is. It isn't NOTHING though, I know that for sure. The bird idea sounds to me like the most plausible explanation so far. You would think they'd have seen a bird in the area after all with this thing flying back and forth. Maybe they did and someone else got a hold of the video who did not know it was a bird. I don't know but it is strange and weird and think we need an answer for this. At least my curiosity is still healthy. There's something going around.

All the OP claims is something weird caught on a cell phone.
Anyone that thinks this isn't weird should be able to say what it is.

I really think it's a large bird after looking at the body proportions.

My question is, is it really going as fast as it is? Or is it that the movements and speed can be over exaggerated by a poor camera that just can't keep up?

My guess is they know it's a bird but they or however got their hands on it are trying to pass it off as something else.

I think this is a combination of slow frame rate (camera looks to be filming at around 15 frames per second (or slower)) and a fast moving object, which to me, looks like a large ostrich-type bird.

It could actually be TWO birds - one being chased by the other. Was it mating season..?

If the boy operating the camera was looking at the screen (as most people do when filming) he too would have only seen the object flash momentarily as per the video result.

hi Zcustosmorum,

i was getting more and more concerned (about average ATS IQ)
as i fought through all the rubbish responses to this OBVIOUS fake...

then finally i saw your comment and realised that there is someone on this thread with eyes...

the guy on the left ( of the 2 guys being filmed)
looks over his left shoulder just as the "thing" passes behind them (for the 2nd time)...

he was looking right in the correct direction to have seen the "thing",
but just turned back slowly to the cameraman...

BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING THERE TO SEE...

IMHO i believe it is just an overlay effect,
added AFTER a guys films his 2 mates ( in a set-up)...

1. It's funny how the mind and eyes work together when I first watched this through the first time and saw the blur run across the screen on normal play through my mind instinctively said it was a deer. That's because a person mind has tendency to associate shapes strange or blurred objects with things one knows. For instance if you look up at the clouds and see elephant in the clouds it's not a flying elephant it is your mind making sense of the strange shapes it sees in the clouds by associating it with something already known to you.

So when I first watched this I instinctively said it was a deer or some animal closely resembling a deer. Even when I slowed it down whatever it is seemed to have similar running pattern to a deer with its back legs coming forward meeting up with its front ones near the center of the body when paused giving a nearly bipedal shape. After watching the video of the Rhea presented here in this thread the running pattern I could see didn't seem to match up but it's blurry so I very well could be wrong on how it looks to be running. To me it seems to resemble a deer or deer like animal nothing really strange about that.

2. The camera is indeed crappy it blurs upon most types movement in the video and the edges of it seem to make it look like things just appear or disappear out of nothing. Almost reminds me of watching home movies on VHS camera's where the edges of the frame seem to distort a bit.

3. Back to animals and bit of credentials if you can call them that I grew up as a farm kid and hunter. As farm kid animals to not always react by running away wild or domesticated. Deer for example will occasionally cut across in front of you instead of away. Also things coyotes and wild dogs have tendency to cut zig zag patterns to and away from you before break into a straight away run. I don't know how Rhea normally acts (if this is indeed a Rhea) but pheasant which seem to get smarter ever hunting season do not do straight run patterns they do zig zag on the ground which just aggravates hunter into ground pounding them because the birds figured out if they fly they get shot at. Back to deer they usually take the nearest straight line they can find especially when startled which is why allot of people hit them with their cars. Instead of running off away from the car they will just take off in straight-line of the direction they were already headed. If you startle a deer on the ground they will take off in the direction they were facing most times. So to say because it didn't run away from these people it ran by them so it can't be animal is ridicules because if it was a startled animal there is no way to predict what it will do.

4. Also if it was startled by someone else or something else it might have just ran by those kids not even realizing they were there it just ran to get away from whatever disturbed it. Switching its direction going by for a second pass could been for several reasons it now saw the people there and now wanted to get away from them. It came to water’s edge and decided not to cross so switched its direction. Also given what was said this a camping area and partially wooded from the video it's options of fleeing might have been hindered giving only limited ways to escape witch would also explain why it didn't necessarily find a straight away pattern to take off in.

5. To anyone who has never been hunting a good rule of thumb when hunting is never assume you know how an animal is going to react to your presences. Diseased animals will often come right at you (like rabies animals.) some like bears and even coyotes or wolves will (if there in a pack) and view as a threat and want to prove their dominance. They also will come at you if endanger their young often times. Even domesticated animals will try to prove their dominance I have seen bulls charge farmers and have personally been head butted by sheep and nearly ran over by cows charging me. Do not assume they are afraid of you animals even domesticated ones can will prove you wrong from time to time.

6. The kid said he looked up but could not see the beast. Simply put disorientation you need proof of this go get yourself a camera or scope from a gun or some other viewing object. Fix that camera or object on particular spot without looking up then abruptly look up and see if you can find that same spot right off the bat. Your eyes will need to focus and readjust it doesn't take long but just long enough that if the object is moving you will lose track of it. To put this in simple magic terms the hand is quicker than the eye.

7. Is it hoax? Maybe it wouldn't even need CGI to set it up or anything really elaborate for that matter. Crappy camera phone that really distorts and blurs moving objects. A domesticated animal or even a person that can run fast enough that camera can't focus. I would go with animal in this case when most people think pet they think cat or dog but let me tell you some people have some strange pets my dad for instances has a pet Lama that is well trained enough that it doesn't have even be in a fenced in area (it will not leave the yard unless the livestock does and then it will try to heard them back into the fenced in area where they belong.) It is just that well trained you get some animal to run across the back of the screen fast enough and you got a video of what the heck is it? Also judging by the first reaction none of the boys seemed to startled by it which means one of two things they were expecting it or its some animal they know or have seen before.

Don't just assume it's something supernatural or not from this world think first about what it could be once all the possibilities are eliminated that are natural then jump to less likely scenarios. It's not being skeptic; it's simply being a realist not take everything that is given to you as the god’s honest truth. Saying it supernatural just because it's a blurry picture or video is just as bad as saying it's the truth because the government, teacher, or religion told me it was or showed me a video or picture or book. People lie, cheat, and fake to get noticed its part of being a social creature that we humans are. We even make crap up (not necessarily lying) to try and explain things that we personally do not know how explain or express, it still doesn't make it the truth. I'm not even saying what I told you is the truth it's just what I see from my observation of the OP's video just don't be saying everyone skeptic that doesn't think it's supernatural in origin because what I have seen from these people being called skeptics is all possible given what information there is.

Still it was a fun thread thanks OP.

Thanks for all your inputs guys, but...
You can not just see something running by, you can also hear it!!!
In all this discussion no one analyzed the sound.... the footsteps are simply too loud for a Rhea !
When an animal is running at "high" speeds (36mph +/-= 58kph) their feet barely touch the ground... So wheres that thumping sound coming from? and why is there no air displacement, moving leaves/dust on ground etc?!?
And i mentioned this before, the cameraman did not see it with his own eyes, only looking at the phone while filming he saw it, so why would he point the camera at something he did no see with his own eyes?

I am still not sure what this is, and unless local people put up some hunting nets and try to catch it, we will never know.

Thanks all

Perhaps he merely turn his head instinctively to attempt to visually follow the creature while ignoring the camera which remained pointed ahead. That the camera was still pointed at the two boys does not mean the cameraman was looking in that direction.
