For the one who posted that the owner's name was John Proffitt Jr., there is a John Proffitt who works for a radio station in Houston.

He was served on the Armed Forces Radio and was stationed in Germany.He now works for KUHA/KUHF in Houston. The station is public radio and features NPR.

Now these things may mean nothing, but I am sure that with John Proffitt being a very influential person in the Houston area, this makes it intriguing to say the least. The interesting thing about him being in Germany is that one of the flyers was posted in a German location. By the way, the radio station is located at the University of
Houston. This Proffitt graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio.

I think the man would have some knowledge of audio mixing, because some radio announcers had to learn how. I worked at several radio stations and learned how.

The picture of the little girl and little boy are very familiar to me, I believe I have seen them before. It makes me think they were in a book about learning how to do character sketching...but I could be wrong.

I don't know how to embed links but if you just type in John Proffitt and Houston, you get his bio page from the radio station website.

Good job. I think that's a distinct possibility as well. Seems a bit much and frankly this site has really generated hardly any buzz. I think we're the top on google still. Does not seem a wildly successful viral campaign considering the date is almost upon us and hardly anyone is interested.

yeah I heard there was some controversy about her guilt
I always thought she was an obvious sociopath
it was mentioned way way earlier in the thread, but I haven't had time to look it up

are they going to recant her anonymity? that wouldn't affect the entire world though I suppose.....

Nice good find. Couple of pieces come together with the theory that the home owner is this guy. I still think they're doing a bad job if this is viral marketing. Only we are talking about it.

A thought occurred to me if I wanted to spread a virus rapidly globally I would make site just like this.

Thank you Domo. Programmers have a very sublime sense of humor and has been my experience that they are not gifted marketeers. Time will tell. Interesting find by you, piqued my interest enough to follow the public records and social profiles.

I think you might really be onto something with this. One thing I would question is how easy it was to find that info. I suppose that may just be part of the joke. Simplest answers are often the best though.

Too easy. Searching public records is somewhat a speciality of mine. I would go into more detail, however, I believe it may be a breach of the t&c of this site to post the actual information and the names of people involved.

This is viral marketing. Come on, folks. Wow. There are many of you here who seem almost desperate to give things like this more credit than they deserve.

Then again, if the world ends, an alien mothership lands on the White House lawn or some other such huge event occurs, I'll eat humble pie.

But I'll stick with my original premise. This is viral marketing. Wait for it.. wait for it.. and they will tell you what they are selling soon.
