1655:

Rupert Murdoch appears to have been attacked by somebody in the public gallery.
1654:

The sitting is suspended for 10 minutes - after some kind of disturbance.

I just cut and paste the above from a live feed on the BBC news page. I was watching the commitee question Murdoch. There was a disturbance, people saying Ohhh in a very English way lol, then they cut the feed.

Hillarious! His wife got up and joined in. lol

Seriously though, this is not the way to behave in such an important hearing.

I just watched it happen live on Sky news a few moments ago..

The guy had a plate in his left hand and it had, I assume, white paint on it. He then shoved it into Murdochs face. They just showed pictures of the "attacker" and he has this paint all over him too.

Sky News are showing slow motion versions of this also. If you can, check it out. They're giving a lot of info about it too.

EDIT: They're now saying he was hit with a "custard pie"

Just was watching that also, lol. Looks like it was a paint attack. Was it really worth it??? The Murdochs seemed to me to be answering the questions to the best of their ability so I don't understand why this muppet did this, he should have waited until after to get that shot in as it would have been more effective. ROFL
