Evening all!

I can't believe I'm posting to this forum as I must admit that the whole topic of Nibiru has not held much interest to me for some reason; however, I started to read shauny's thread, NIBIRU shadow over Antartica..., because the title peaked my curiosity (big
to shauny) and about half way through the video, I thought "hey I've clicked off a few pix of the sun and moon lately" and when I turned around to grab my camera, I saw the full moon high in the sky and decided to snap a few current ones to see what showed up. Now, keep in mind that I have an obstructed view through a rather large pine tree from my living room where these pix were snapped, but after I took them, it looked like there were two moons. So I thought "okay, must be some type of reflective glare" but then when I transferred them to my computer, something really weird caught my eye. The moon on the left is "the" moon and the one of the right is the assumed blurry glare; however, when you look at it closely, you can see a smaller and much clearer object within the blur. These are the two I initially snapped:

While I was just cutting & pasting the embedding codes, I realized something - if the second moon is just a reflective glare, why are the pine tree's branches shown in front of it? Wouldn't this prove it was a solid object and not a reflection? Perhaps those of you who are experienced photogs can comment on that.

OK, so then I decided that this was just too freaky and I needed to get some pix from an unobstructed view so I left my house and clicked off a few from my driveway, I'm going to preface this next photo by saying that while I was setting up the frame and my camera was doing its focus function, I could see a VERY distinct blue line shooting diagonally up and down from behind the moon; however, I couldn't seem to get anything blue to show up on any of the pix (or so I thought). Here's the first one from my driveway - notice how there's only one very distinct moon now but if you look to the very top right hand corner, you can see the shadow of a second different sized round object:

And finally, here's the last one shot from my driveway; this time from a wider angle. I didn't even see this when I was initially downloading it to the media section but when I clicked on it, I saw that there is a definite blue aura (for lack of a better word) around the moon:

So now I'm baffled and intriqued. I don't know much about Nibiru at this point but it looks like I have at least a few hours worth of reading to do... Feel free to comment or debunk any of these pix; I'm definitely a novice when it comes to photography and have no clue about the natural distortions that can occur but these anomolies looked pretty interesting to me.

no offense, but it doesn't look like 2 separate objects to me at all - it just looks like you moved the camera quickly when you took a picture of the moon - happens to me a lot when I'm trying to get pictures w/ my digital camera.

in other words, it's basically double exposure.

One of the branches is hanging in front of the actual moon, and when it reflects in the lense it also reflects the shadow the branch is creating.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing here?

The first two pictures, as you suggested, as just movement/artifacts in the camera. The branches you see are probably some sort of remnant. As the camera was jerked during the taking, both the moon and the branches appear together due to the "second" moon appearing in front of them.

As for the bottom two, I don't see anything quite unusual. Maybe be more specific?

You said you saw a blue "aura" around the last moon, but I personally saw nothing of the sort.

I'm quite used to seeing 'Moon halo's' around here, i dont know the technical term for them, but its a blue ring that circles the moon. Can be huge, can be small. I've been seeing weird sun rings too lately.. not even a full ring, maybe its my sunglasses..haha

As well, could be double-paned glass. This happens to me when I'm trying to catch my neighbor in the shower. . .I mean stealing my newspaper, she sometimes steals the newspaper!
Shower. . .what was I thinking!?

Would be a good explanation but they weren't taken free hand (not the first two anyway); have a Nikon L100 with a table tripod pointed straight out the window. All I do is adjust the tilt, set the zoom to the level I want and push the button...

Great anomaly. I believe you.

I doubt it's from moving a camera too fast, because I have done that, and pictures don't come out like that. Only on the highway does it look a streak and it still doesn't reflect like that.

nice shot.

OK but wouldn't a transverse reflection have the same defining shapes and characteristics only flipped? These look entirely different to me and I remember zooming in enough when I shot the picture as to ensure no obstructure of the moon.

Addressed first point above and AzureSky's explanation of the halo sounds plausible to me. Unfortunately, none of the "blues" seem to translate well to the digitalization process - could be that I have an inferior or outdated camera...

Where is the anomaly? I looked at the moon several times this evening, and will admit that yes did howl a few times for kicks. Don't you know all wolves do that. But that was the only anomaly I noticed this evening, including in these pictures afraid to say.

Thanks and believe me, I'd have no problem with that explanation if I didn't know for a fact that there was no movement due to the tripod. Thanks for the feedback - goes out to everyone as this was never a right / wrong situation - just an exchanging of thoughts and calm mature discussion about something that didn't look quite normal to me.

Hey Darlin can you take a picture at these coordinates ? ( 5h 53m 27s -6 10' 56" )
I want to see if anythings coming. Maybe a big red planet ? Or if you get a picture of a big black box in the sky?
That might might be really special too.

Was never any offense taken. As I said before, what the eyes saw didn't translate well to what the pictures showed. No harm no howl .... I mean fowl!

As it goes, i also took pictures of the full moon last night.

However, i noticed nothing strange at all. Might be because i am in the southern hemisphere though.

Here is a pic of the full moon.
