Greetings, I am Liquidsmoke206.

Some of you may remember me from years back, I used to post from time to time. Well, I have returned, and since I never made an intro post before, I guess I should probably do one now. Here are some random facts about me....

I'm in my 30's but certainly don't look or act it.

I live in Seattle, WA. A town with it's fair share of ATS attention.

As a bartender I have extensive knowledge of cocktails and spirits, how that comes in handy on ATS will remain to be seen. But some of the people I have seen at my bar include: airplane pilots, politicians(Mark Foley for instance while at the height of his scandal and supposedly in rehab), rock stars, athletes, etc.

I like all kinds of threads but am especially attracted to history, UFO's, political madness, and love love love any good flick that people post. Don't hate the media, become the media.

I have traveled to something like 17 countries, but my passport is currently expired.

My least favorite threads usually involve predictions or numerology.

I'm nearly fluent in spanish.

I understand music theory and have written pieces in four part harmony.

I enjoy a good run.

I enjoy a good drink.

I've bungee jumped.

I've had open heart surgery.

I've experienced "sleep paralysis."

I've seen unidentified flying objects.

I've been to Gilliland ranch, but didn't see anything special there.

I once guessed three cards in row(face and suit) out of a full deck, back to back to back. But I don't think I'm psychic.

That's enough for now. I'll spill some more random facts about me as they pop into my brain. If anyone in the community has any random questions or comments post them and I will respond shortly.

You are creatively selfish and you can go either way with the past or the future but it is the here and now that you are working on the most! You probably spend more than you like but that is going to change if you can help it.

You are probably a bit of a curb-side therapist with a lighter in hand, but the advice is sound and reflects well even if you are making it up!

This year you are trying to "take control" of your environment and you might even consider running your own business. Politics might be something you find yourself dabbling in but that too will be curb-side.

Welcome, I will try to remember that you hate my kind of threads!

I'm one post into my return and I already have people misquoting me! Oh how I've missed ATS.

Me: My least favorite threads usually involve predictions or numerology.

You: I will try to remember that you hate my kind of threads!

Don't worry I'm gonna try and avoid your type of threads and quotes like this are why....

you can go either way with the past or the future but it is the here and now that you are working on the most!

Way too general, this statement should apply to about 99% of people I'd think.

Hey liquidsmoke, that was one nice intro !!

I once guessed three cards in row(face and suit) out of a full deck, back to back to back. But I don't think I'm psychic.

When I was in high school, a teacher gave me a gift. Every time I would cut a deck of cards, an Ace would be there, either face up or face down but always. And it did. I would show friends and enjoyed the wow effect. But one day I started thinking that it was just luck, coincidence, bullcrap...I started questioning. I've never cut to an Ace since. Just a long lost memory that resurfaced after reading your card guessing...

Looking forward to seeing you on the boards !

Yeah 2 instances:

First time: It was in broad daylight I was waiting for the bus near my house right in the middle of Seattle, and just kind of watching the skies. Something caught my eye way up there, it was very small, and with the phone I had any video I would have attempted wouldn't have shown anything. It was too far away to see any details on it but I can tell you this. It looked like a highly reflective ball of metal, or perhaps something round and glowing. It moved very slowly then just stopped. I watched it long enough to see maybe dozens of airplanes fly past it, none of them as seemingly high as the object. I eventually lost site of it and my bus showed up. ATS user Scramjet76 can verify this sighting as I was describing it to him over the phone while it was happening.

Second time: Just this past fourth of July. Out on Whidbey island in the Puget Sound. We were lighting off fireworks from a friends house when all of the sudden I heard a friend from the upper deck of the house yell, "hey check out these UFO's" Sure enough three bright orange orbs were moving steadily in our direction. All of us kind of stopped and watched in awe at what not a single one of the ten or so of us could have mistaken for fireworks, airplanes or helicopters. ATS users Kranefist and Scramjet76 were both present. Kranefist even filmed the objects but the film looks like your typical night time light in the sky video. Too see it in person was pretty cool. Anyways the first three were followed by many more I'd say total anywhere from 8 to 12 of them. They made no sound, and moved a pretty steady speed. Thing is.....they all seemed to fade out at relatively the same point in the sky leading me to believe they were chinese lanterns. Interestingly, I observed that there was no wind when they floating by, and a little while later when a slight breeze did pic up in was in the complete opposite direction.

I'm going with lanterns on this one, but it was definitely really weird.

Thanks for sharing.
It's always fascinating to hear first-hand accounts, rather than a story of a story.
The first one reminds me of the story of my own unidentified object story. I too, was just looking at the sky when I happened to see a very reflective, metallic object approximately 5 miles away (It was roughly above a neighboring city that I know very well, so I was able to guess how far away it was). It was a completely cloudy day though, which was the odd part since the object was clearly "shiny", as if the sun were directly hitting it. I don't know if I'd call it glowing, but it was definitely visible in a manner that it should not have been, given the weather conditions. After staring at it for a little bit, I ran upstairs to my telescope, only to see that it was gone.

I really like your second story. It's cool that it was on the 4th. Chinese lanterns are definitely viable answer, but then again you'll; never know for sure.

Ever tried this one?
Perfect for the SHTF scenario.

Corpse Reviver #2:
Equal parts Gin, Lillet, Cointreau, and lemon juice.
Just shake it and strain it into an absinthe rinsed cocktail glass.

A classic.

That was a kewl story.....I love stories like this, so powerful and subtle. You see the power of belief is REAL and you experienced it as a child as most of us did in some way. Now try to recapture that experience because if you change your mind you change your life.......

I live in Alaska which will matter when I tell you the rest of my story........one night I was working on visualizations and I pictured a huge bull moose walking past my place. We have two huge windows on one side and then our masterbedroom is right after that. It was winter time and I was thinking of that big bull moose coming through there and hitting his antlers up against the glass, it of course would shatter so I decided I really didn't want that reality so I changed it up a little and pictured what it would sound like if the antlers hit the side of the house and imagined that sound. Moose are pretty common in these parts but Bull Moose are rare. Well I focused on it that night and guess what I heard about two hours later??? I was sleeping when I woke up to a screetch along the wall and instantly I KNEW what it was.........I looked out my bedroom window and there it was in the dark foggy night eating from branches right outside my window. Now THAT was kewl. Some might say that was coincidence but I know better because I imagined it just so.

I'd like to practice more with this, but concentration and meditation are hard to manage.

Anyways Welcome back to ATS OP and I am glad you called out the psychic cuz I was about to

In light of me being new to the site(again), and making a fresh start perhaps, I should change my pic.
Or is my pic so epic that it should never ever under any circumstances ever be messed with.

Any thoughts?
anyone know where I can get a cool avatar?
