I do no agree nor disagree because unfortunately I am not in the Gulf of Mexico and I dont have a temperature meter to check for myself.

BUT...

People have to realize that this universe and ultimately our planet does not go in cycles of circles. It goes in a straight line and it is ALWAYS different than in the past.

STOP saying something always happens this or that way because it has done it in the past many times. It may be similar but it is NEVER the same.

Im sure everyone agrees, unless you are uneducated about the universe, that earth will eventually die off. If the Earth continues to exist with life...eventually the sun will become so big and hot that it will toast the earth and all other planets before the sun that we know changes and surrounding lifeforms and planets will literally be destroyed.

This is the story of the universe. Things change. Thing are never the same as before. We are in the most up to date version of our universe and to think earth changes NOW are the same or show the same pattern as past events is pretty ridiculous.

Again, they might be similar, but never the same.

This goes for the people that are saying earth changes and temperatures are as normal as they ever been and people concluding that there are signs of future ice ages that occurred in the past.

I was wondering a a while back too, could this all be casued by the Earth slowly tilting backwards, pushing Canada and europe farther North, while putting Africa, South America and other areas closer to the equator? Either that or whether manipulation/HAARP. And whats with all the Volcanos this year i mean the new one in Indonesia is like the 4rth one this year alone. Something doesnt seem right.

This is John Thomas of the John Titor Project

I had no idea you all figured this out.
But we're not going to have an ice age. We're going to have a desert age.
These cycles are normal.
We're all going to be living in caves and underground in a few years.
We'll live like this for 1000 years and come out looking like Morlocks or Grey Aliens.
Hint.
Don't worry. We've got hydroponics and aeroponics to save us.

I agree with ItsJUSTzo,everything that happens hasnt happened before because we are travelling space, we arent going around in circles lol...

If this is truley happening and is real, then its abit worrying, but im not there and have no proof of it,so its not a fact in my opinion.

Although i do hope it isnt true.

Cheers

We have to consider that the great Mississippi river flowes into the gulf. Super high floodwaters this year means more water sitting on land, heating up from the earth, then emptying into the gulf. Couple this with a massive heat wave back east...and you get bath water in the gulf. Hopefully no pee, though

Nothing is absolute. Yet we all use words like "never" and "always" and "everyone" and "no one". Never happened before? Law of averages says no. Everyone? 5.5 billion people is everyone.

Pensacola here as well, a few times we've hit 100-103+humidity and so on...

I remember the 90s being similar, though.

I will not be alarmed until we see a repeat-performance of 100+ temps at 1 AM in the night...

Wouldent this have a bigger effect than just, killing fish I mean the golf is like earths armpit she uses it to cool off. If it stopped, wouldent there be a drout?

Fellow Arizonan. The bright side is that maybe we will have more water and cooler temps if another Ice Age does settle in. We could be living in a future lush oasis!

good find ~ id be interested to compare previous years temp fluctuations and see if we are really in for some cold weather. I live in Utah...the weather is "tolerable" from about mid April til Aug or early Sept. The rest of the year, cold, snowy and miserable. Would love to head to a Jaguars football game in December ahhh FL

Something that should be considered here is hot water contains less oxygen then cold water. It is possible that water heats and retains that heat without oxygen. Thus, we all know the part of the gulf has been depleted of oxygen through chemicals and the oil spill. Potentially, this is a man made disaster affecting water temperatures.

That's PART of the worry I had with the Gulf oil gusher. The BIG problem I am worried about comes 2 years and 10 years after this situation has left the headlines; Next year, I expect a massive "red tide," because of the bacterial balance thrown off and the lower oxygen in the water. Size matters in this case, and whereas past Red Tides have gone away -- if the entire gulf gets a red tide -- it will mean that fish and other creatures will have to migrate back to the environment -- and by the time they do, the chemistry and environment of the Gulf might be permanently changed.

The other part of this equation is the bacteria on the Sea floor. I figure, since nature abhors a vacuum -- that the Sea Floor is a bigger part of the ecology than has been realized. AFTER the Gulf disaster, however, we may come to realize how important it is. All the un-used organic matter and waste goes to the sea floor. From the Mississippi River -- huge amounts of silt and organic material. The crude oil and Core Exit might have been in high enough concentrations to kill off this "anaerobic" bacteria -- which is essential to "digest" the fish waste.

Just as there was a "slime trail 144 miles long" found in the Mediterranean, I can expect that before we see the "tar balls" come to the surface (it will take about 20 years since they are neutral density), we will see the largest globs of muck the world has ever known. Huge amounts of slime, that smother fish and nets.

Mucus -- miles and miles of gummy fish poop.

It might not be as dangerous as a shutdown of the Gulf Stream (which may be caused MORE by melting icebergs in the North Atlantic), but it will be a game-changer for fishing, boating, and living around the Gulf.

Say all of this stuff is true.. we will be fine. Humans will adapt as always and nature always fixes itself.

There have been all sorts of weather patterns that have had absolutely nothing to do with us.

I reckon changing the viscocity of the gulf with Oil and Toxic sludge might contribute to some of the strangness
too.

While I agree with you about the author of the video, I must say that the continuing melting of the ice sheets WILL bring about an ice age, even though that sounds counter let me explain.

You see water does not retain heat nearly as well as land, as water reflects some of it and loses even more through convection. Land, earth, does not reflect the sun, its absorbs it. It also does not convect efficiently so the heat sits in the ground much longer than it does in water. Here is the catch (I'm sure you figured it out already)...

Once the oceans rise to what I call the "Solar absorbant apogee," or where the temps flatline and begin to drop as more land is covered by water, and earth absorbs less heat/reflects more. And like magic, presto!, you have an ice age until more water is locked in ice and large portions of land are once again exposed. This has happened three times before on earth (at least we think), and we may be lucky enough to witness it in the next few generations. I know 'lucky' is probably not the word you would use, but to witness such a transformational event on our planet is beyond awe inspiring. And yes, given our current technology, humanity will easily survive in mass numbers.

Ever wonder how a city can be found over a mile underwater? Yeah....

Dr. Gianluigi Zangari talked about this around June 2010, including elevated temperatures in the gulf of Mexico occurring LAST year. He also talked about winter 2010 having 10° lower temperatures*, and he was perfectly correct in that scenario. It also made perfect sense to me in my area, as our prevailing warm, winter westerlies all but ceased to exist, and well into 2011.

His opinion was based on what he had cleaned from satellite charts, and his opinion on what the damage done to the gulf of mexico by the BP oil spill.

There is a very long video/audio interview with him here,

socioecohistory.wordpress.com... mate-19-july-2010/

More info here,

www.projectworldawareness.com...

The subject is long, but is worth bearing with, and it should be noted that there is inference that the maps Dr. Zangari had access to were later 'changed' something another poster hinted at in another thread some time ago.
The maps he used showed that the gulf stream had stopped at a certain time in a certain area.

* The 10° temperature drop is a estimated general drop in water temperature to the north Atlantic without benefit from the 'trapped' Gulf stream. You must make up your own mind on the whole affair, and there will be many debunkers.

I sure hope so. I'm here in Houston and let me tell you: It's hot as heck down here. I'd rather be back in sub-zero weather trying to stay warm, than in 100+ degree weather trying to cool off.

Sides, what is the point of telling everyone you believe an Ice Age is going to start? If it happens, it happens. How many of us are going to mobilize and do something about it? What can be done about it? Escape somewhere warm? Ok.
