Time article: Glenn Beck bends over for Israel?

globalspin.blogs.time.com...

Glenn Beck's tour guide in the Knesset on Monday was the same fellow who squired Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee around Jerusalem: Danny Danon, the sleek, arch-conservative deputy speaker of Israel's parliament and a man who knows how to inspire Christian fundamentalists. "I do a lot of fundraising in the United States," Danon told me one afternoon last fall over coffee. "The Jews give, but it's always, 'Yes, but.''' Here he grinned. "With the evangelicals," he said, "there's never a 'but.'"

Does anyone else find *anything* wrong about this? Sure, Beck lost his show, but does he now expect that pandering to Israel (to a shameless degree) will allow him to save his career?

The snippet I posted in particular is very telling, and suggested that "but" suggests that Beck is paying for any potential career help at the cost of his dignity. (assuming he ever had any to begin with)

I'm actually a little disturbed by how over-the-top Time is in their praising of Beck in his new-found love for Israel. Well, not that surprised. Perhaps embarrassed, that Time obviously cares little about how skewed their coverage of this story is.

Not sure what your problem is with Beck going to Israel.

If he wants to visit there or is a big supporter of Israel that's his choice.

Now, wait a minute here. Isn't he a Mormon? I guess all that Mormon Jesus stuff disappears when the old Jewish coffers open up for him. I thought the real Jews were in Utah or whatnot, after being sent away from new York, illinois, etc...maybe I need another lesson from elder smith and elder young...
