In a Dec. 3, 2009, article about the announced resignation of Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, the Wall Street Journal’s Evan Perez wrote that Ogden hasn’t been identified with any major Justice Department policy initiatives. Now that this C-SPAN video from March 24, 2009, is making the rounds anew, it appears Ogden’s name — and that of President Barack Obama — is going to be associated with one now.

OK there you have it folks the direct mention of "the president" and Eric Holder. Ogden is even speaking with the White House logo in the background.

Up until now it has been lies lies lies. Duck and cover and even more lies. If this series of events does not shake the foundation of the current administration nothing will. Will the MSM outlets do their duty by reporting on these very cold hard facts? Will they ID Holder and Obama for the liars that they are? Will they illuminate the nefarious motives behind Fast and Furious?

“DOJ’s Drug Enforcement Administration, which already has the largest U.S. drug enforcement presence in Mexico with 11 offices in that country, is placing 16 new DEA positions in Southwest border field operations specifically to target Mexican trafficking and associated violence.”

“The DEA is also deploying four new mobile enforcement teams to specifically target Mexican methamphetamine trafficking, both along the border and in U.S. cities impacted by the cartels.”

“DOJ’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is increasing its efforts by adding 37 new employees in three new offices, using $10 million in Recovery Act funds and redeploying 100 personnel to the Southwest border in the next 45 days to fortify its Project Gunrunner which is aimed at disrupting arms trafficking between the United States and Mexico.”

“ATF is doubling its presence in Mexico itself, from five to nine personnel working with the Mexicans, specifically to facilitate gun-tracing activity which targets the illegal weapons and their sources in the United States.”

After watching this video, the reasons behind Ogden’s resignation after working for Attorney General Eric Holder for less than a year, appear seem clear: He wanted to reduce his chances of becoming the “fall guy” for the Obama Administration after news of this doomed-from-the-start gun-running operation became public. I just wanted to post a comment from Bmartin1776, on the link in your OP. It isn't the first time I've seen these statistics but I'm in complete agreement of what is being said:

Again this is all an attempt by the regime to make 2nd Amend & gun owners be the bad guys so they can reign in new gun laws. Oh wait no new laws just executive orders coming from Emperor Obama. Gun owners & the 2nd Amendment are in the way of his agenda in fulfilling the fundamental transformation of America.

Someone explain to me and others why the actions of the ATF. DOJ and more than likely by the direction from the oval office(as the vid suggests) is not a treasonous act? Or could their actions be defined by Congress under Article 3 Sec 3 as treasonous as they have done in the past with those committing sedition and espionage. This is how it starts kids...

This is why Obama is in a big rush to sweep new gun rules under the rug and outside of the grasp of congress.

We should all take note and be very aware what is happening under our noses and behind the scenes. Obama and his buddies are desperate and they have been backed into a corner. This is when they are the most dangerous.

Backed into a corner is an understatement.

This guy is so inept and underqualified,and so are his handlers, that it's pathetic.

Transparency is so evident in everything he says and does ..but for the wrong reasons.

He knows..we know the gig is up....(I was going to say jig..but didn't want to be called racists)

His words no longer have any impact on anything positive.

The way he talks and looks on TV..it's like even HE knows his words are just B.S.

Once his handlers inform him he's not getting reelected ,and they have to cut their losses and at least TRY and get some dignity out of the next election,He's gonna punish us and throw everything including the kitchen sink at us, before he leaves office as a lame duck.

If Obama makes one more executive decision concerning the 2nd Amendment, then there should cries for impeachment.

As far as I'm concerned, he has gone to far as it is.

If you'll notice though, the big thing on the news is the NewsCorp scandal. Just more smoke to cover what is going on to deprive law-abiding Americans of their rights.

Given the daily revelations and evidence that this scandal is uncovering how can it not be on the nightly news everyday? How can none of the morning news shows even mention it?

Nobody was killed for Watergate or Whitewatergate or Travelgate or Monicagate but all were major stories for quite a while and all but one resulted in actions taken. Two even led to impeachments.

But smuggling guns to drug cartels and the subsequent murder or federal agents and civilians just goes ignored?

WTF man. WTF. Seriously. WTF.

if he tries to force the issue, there will be blood. simple as that. the ONE thing americans have going for us is our respect of guns. we won't turn them over without a fight. anyone who comes around to take them will either find nothing, or be killed.

most americans know, reguardless if they believe in any conspiracies, that guns are central to freedom. try and take them, and there will be much violence.

I think Obama was saving his 'Gun Control Agenda' if you will, for his second term because he would have nothing to lose. Now it appears that he is not only trying to cover his butt, but he is fearful that he will only be a one term president. Therefore, everything in his second term agenda will now be turned loose over the next year. I'm not one to make predictions, but the writings on the walk.

New Gun Control Law now in effect as of yesterday. By Executive order !

Obama is not saving it. He is implementing now. All Western States Ca, NM AZ, and Texas have new gun control laws by executive order. They are going to track gun purchases now. see the NM story below. this is not a state law .

Someone do a thread on this. I don't' have time to do good post from a cell phone. I did not see this on ATS yet, and is being buried by the MSM.

The NRA and congressional critics also see the new policy as a way to divert attention away from the "Fast and Furious" scandal, where ATF sought to track the flow of guns into Mexico by selling weapons to buyers linked with the drug cartels. Many of those have been lost and used in drug crimes.

Thanks to the OP for sharing this "new" information. I have shared it on another forum and put it on Twitter, as well. I recently wrote a Letter to the Editor about Project Gunrunner, but received it back because I was over the allowed number of words; I was invited to amend it for re-submission. I had to get rid of 386 words; it was difficult, but after much "tweaking" I was able to do so. I resubmitted the Letter. Now, let's see if it gets printed--that's the thing. Even my local small-town newspaper is becoming more and more mainstream-media-like, in that more and more pages cover Hollywood, movies, movie stars, etc.--which is NOT news, imo!!
