A former Birchwood Police Officer will not be allowed to have another job in the force.

Online court records show 56-year-old Peter Weatherhead pleaded guilty Monday to a count of disorderly conduct and also negligent operation of a vehicle.

Weatherhead got two years probation in Barron County Court Monday.

Attorneys say that means Weatherhead can't try for a law enforcement job during that time.

Weatherhead was originally charged for sexual assault but that charge was amended.

Court documents show a 50-year-old woman told investigators that Weatherhead showed up at her house one night and appeared drunk.

According to a criminal complaint, after talking with Weatherhead for about an hour, he pinned her against a wall for several minutes and rubbed against her.

She told investigators she called a friend because she was afraid to call 911 because he might be the officer responding.

Ok, now if read this right, a drunk cop in a squad car, rolls up on a woman's house, molests her and gets probation? The most serious punishment for this is he can't be cop for 2 years?

This is why police officers need to be tried by impartial Military tribunals. Local Judges and Prosecutors rub elbows with local cops day in and day out and as a result show undue bias in favor of said police officers.
--------
Well if they are suspected of committing a crime. That way it also keeps it from turning into a Media Circus as the Military handles things in a far more professional way.
