I know that the majority of the world really don't like you very much, but I would just like to point out that here in the UK we are very much still feeling the love.

I live just by Sherwood Forest so come into contact with you on a regular basis, I see the look of anticipation on your enthusiastic faces as you enter the mysterious world of Robin Hood and his merry men....only to exit after a couple of hours having found out that sherwood forest is exactly that. a forest. There really is bugger all there - apart from one oversized tree, and possibly the crappiest excuse for a fairground in the world.

Seriously, if your gonna make the trip up north - go to Alton Towers instead, much more fun.

I sometimes sit and have a beer in the pub listening to your conversations, and I think what I like the most is how you seem to start every sentence with "back in the states...." You are clearly a very patriotic people and obviously love your country

I love your "I Love Florida" T-shirts

I Love the fact that you all seem to still embrace 90's fashion by refusing to throw away your "fanny packs" they were called bum bags here - your version means something slightly different on these shores

You do punk rock music way better than we do (in terms of the modern stuff)

OK, so you've put one too many mcdonalds outlets here, forced gangster rap onto youths that it really doesnt suit (ever heard a spotty, white middle class 13 year old brit say 'wassup ma n****r? really quite disturbing), and over popularized the word 'dude' which again, gets right on my ti ts....

But for all these bad points you are still our much loved cousins, and our respective leaders will continue the bro-alition until we have collectively pissed off the entire world enough that they eventually blow us both off the map.

lets embrace our arranged marraige and make the most of it while we still can.

hmmm i could really do with an oreo to dunk in my tea.

much love
stu

I don't know if your being serious or just taking the p***.

But that bit about white teenage middle class gangster rapper made me chuckle.

Anyway I agree Americans are allright (but not they're government) I don't get why some people have a downer about them.

What was the point of this thread?

An underhanded compliment of sorts?

Right back atcha, my Anglo-Ami (I'm from Louisiana and have a little more French influence than my other American bros and hos. Our association with the French comes from before they turned into sissies). Love me some of the English blokes about town, except for the ones who turned our Gulf into a oil covered cesspool, but whats some spilled drink amongst friends? And can't wait for some actual football, assuming they play a season, with all the soccer that's been on in bars lately. It's like hockey with shorts to me. May as well have the "Poltergeist" snow on as far as I'm concerned, but if it makes our brothers from across the ocean happy, then have it on, I say (until NFL kickoff that is!)

Similar to your tourism related experiences, I often see the disappointed faces of Europeans down this way when they find out we don't all live in homes on stilts over the swamps and that alligator wrestling isn't a weekly event. And yes, we are happy to be American. Who the heck in their right mind, wouldn't be?

But, yes, indeed, long live the Anglo-American bro-alition! By the way, you guys can take Canada back, if you want, I mean they still have the Queen on their money and they get all uppity about being our junior partner in North America sometimes. I mean, it could be worse. They could be Mexico, right?
Anyhow, tell Robin Hood and his fairy men I say hullo(or is it "merry men"? I can never remember).

You should come to my local shopping centre, it's The Jeremy kyle show "LIVE" plenty of single teenage mom's, so you can't be too harsh about that.

And yes our master's are just as bad, but our's never pretended that we live in the land of the free.
We are told from an early age we are ruled.

The bestest thing in the world: Us yanks, brits, cannucks, aussies and kiwis can all make fun of each other in a common language, more or less!

Love all my cousins out there.

Edit: I better mention the Irish, and God knows my ancestral Scots or I'll never enjoy whiskey in peace again with my lady love or my ancestors' ghosts.
