This seems like a topic for The Gray Area, would like to see if anyone else has felt this.

Have you ever experienced that everything feels different somehow than it did the previous days? For as long as I can remember, certain periods of time that I experience are somehow distinguishable from other periods of time that i have experienced.

Physically everything is the same, everything is still the same color, shape etc, but the environment, reality itself just feels different than it did the day before or a few days back.I would explain it as, a layer of existance over the all encompassing existance that is constantly changing. My desk is still a desk, I am still myself. The core physical traits are still the same in the all encompassing existance, but its as if there is a thin layer over everything that feels different day to day or week to week.

It's the weirdest feeling, i dont even know how to properly explain it. It's like something has shifted, changed, but nothing within physical terms or nothing immediately comprehendable. Its really weird. Another way to explain it would be, everything looks different, but is the same object. Its no different than the previous day, but something is just off.

Is anyone else able to feel this? It's like I can feel the world changing around me.

I have the same feeling every week almost.. It is definitely stronger on some days than other days. Some days I wake up with anxiety and some days I have the strangest excitement. Both feelings are more intense than my life happenings and occurrences should have them be and that is why it is strange.

I can agree with you there, i feel this everyday and each day is different. It could just be psychological trauma of some sort, but it's interesting to hear others view on it.

Yes, I've had it for about 2 months now?
Mine is more specific - I feel like something is moving in the astral, I can almost see, like on a very expensive equalizer these swells as the beat of life goes on, like there's crescendos undulating quicker and quicker.
And I feel for about the same amount of time, that something is broken. It's beyond repair but no one knows it yet. It will have to be rebuilt and not fixed, but most people don't even realize it is broken.

And I've glimpsed visions recently of what I'd call the furies. Not a lot, just occasionally, like there's a primordial goddess type force that's been awakened - and she isn't beautiful, she's mad, really, really mad, and she wants to punish. It's just one, but it seems like it is just like 'a fury' that they talked about long ago. She's not coming, she is here.

I've had a similar feeling, something like there is something wrong but I cant place my finger on it. Something enormous has changed and the information as to what it is, is not something we are privy to at the moment, but it's so core to our existence that i can feel it without knowing what it is.

I've sort of had this too. It's like every day I see everything through a different set of eyes, a different persepective. And also, just the general energies of reality feel different, if that makes any sense.

There is a tension in the air, however, there are many people whom believe that they can escape it by living in an artifically-induced fantasy world.

I'm actually a little surprised about how many people have been feeling this as well, it's always been a very personal feeling. But it's a little comforting that i'm not the only one who feels this change in reality.

I wont pass up the possibility that we are just people under stress and this is how our brains are coping, as some of the more skeptical and objective ATSers would suggest, but I have always felt like there is more to life, so who knows.

I guess a good way to describe it is that reality feels more lucid, more abstract, it feels more like a dream. For example, the dreams I had a couple years ago, the sort of vibe in them, that's how i feel now.

Yeah that sounds about right, reality seems less solid and more fluid than it used to. I havent felt like reality was actually solid since I was a child.

You are not alone and you are not going crazy. I think one of the most positive things you can do is reach out and communicate with others to see this for yourself, so good job!

I see the reasoning with choosing The Gray Area - you may want to take a look at the Philosophy/Metaphysical forum as well for similar threads.

Personally, I believe your experience is indicative of a changing/transitioning 4D world- which you can look at from a physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual perspective. Have you ever heard the phrase "thinning of the veil"? Many are experiencing differences, which are accelerating. Some may perceive differences physically, others more emotionally or mentally, and spiritually. Many, including me actually, initially experience differences focused in one area (such as physical observation) to find that they grow into experiential differences in others (such as emotional and spiritual).

I believe that many, many more than we realize are having similar experiential changes, to varying degrees; however, we Westerners (at least) were raised to immediately label anything even remotely resembling this as "hogwash". Unfortunately this conditioning has made it very challenging for many out there to speak up and communicate their experience. For each that does, many more recognize shared elements of their own experience and are willing to speak up, especially in the virtual world. Good luck and good searching!

I have had this feeling for a while now too and I agree that it does feel 'Dreamy' and can sometimes make me feel a little bit on edge. Defenitly strange and out of place. I was thinking it could be something like a spiritual shift? Like sensing a shift in the atmosphere on another level? with all of the earthquakes and tsunamis the magnetic feilds and what not may have changed and some people might be sensitive enough to feel that, like some are more sensitive to the electical wiring in our homes? Something is certainly different.

I only comment to say i agree with the OP.
I have felt this as well, and my gf when asked also has noticed something...off.
I am not sure exactly how to interpret the sensation.
Perhaps is is the difference between feeling a memory, and feeling in reality. Or simply a phase of the aging process.
One could also guess it could be our lifestyles. Head in computers and phones at any given time could change one's perception of reality as these items now seem more visually stunning than the mundane actual reality.

I have also read a thread on how the 'color' seems different now than it did when they were a child.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

This is all of course, pure speculation. Evidence in this matter would be hard to produce i believe.
Whatever the case may be it "seems" different. I think that is enough for me.

Personally I think the veil is unnaturally thin for this time of year, so yes, it could indeed be a spiritual shift.
I think of the veil as a thin curtain between us and another dimension that is more thought based, and spiritual. Control systems- IE all religions, governments, financial system - any system of thought control - weaves the threads that make the veil.

Yes. Every single day.

Either we need the same medication, or we're into something.

I'm hoping for the last, afraid of the first.

Peace

I had a sense of this about 6 months ago, one morning while I was getting ready for work. It just seemed like I had some sort of 'disconnect' and had to think a little harder about how to get ready for work (LoL) like nothing was on autopilot in the normal day-to-day routine. It caused me to sort of step back and assess my experience. That made it even weirder. The subject studying the subject. Periodically during that day, I would slip into surveillance mode, and observe my experience to assess its normalcy. Of course that added to the oddness. But it was difficult to NOT study my experience, when the thought crept into my consciousness. For the record, I'm just a middle school teacher, so nothing top secret about my life.

Alien Dreamtime

Have you ever noticed how there's this quality to reality which comes and goes.. and kind of ebbs and flows? And nobody ever mentions it or has a name for it..

There is something different in or reality. This much i am certain of. I have been going through one of the most emotionally turbulent times of my life. Not because of any major traumatic events, or what have you, but one day i'll wake up angry, the next day sad, the next day i will feel like nothing can stop me. Why such a roller coaster of emotion when there is really nothing to be emotional about?

I have been feeling a big change coming on, and I am glad to see that (maybe) i am not so crazy

I think the changes i have noticed have been over a larger scale (years instead of days).
These are not changes in concrete terms, not social or economic, or political or anything like that. It is more like someone is messing with the fabric of reality (perhaps not in a bad way, but altering it somehow).
I think the best example is that i can distinctly remember visual, auditory, olfactory cues from different times in my life. I am not sure why or how. and i can "visualize" (pardon the lack of a better term) in my mind these cues and build an environment that i was in at once point. but if i return to the environment under the same settings the experience will be different in terms of all those sensory cues.

I don't know if that was even intelligible, but that is the best way i can describe it. I am glad to see i am not the only one perceiving a shift in our reality.

I have a name for it 'Head Displacement Disorder' HDD I coined the phrase when I started to feel disassociated from the 'real world'. It is as though you are looking out from a different dimension or looking into an alternate world from afar. Reality does not seem real anymore. And yet you know that it is real but it is different like there is a layer of unreality to it. Things arent as clear as they used to be. The air is thicker, weightier ,more dense. As someone pointed out, color has changed, shifted. Color seems not just right. Hard to put ones finger on. This has been happening to me for 4 years at least. I thought maybe it was something physical,or mental. Maybe even an outside cause like poisoning of some sort. Anyway, It sure is nice to know Im not alone

I had forgotten about this thread for a few days, ADD and all. But I am actually quite happy that so many others are feeling something similar to what I am feeling. It makes everything just a little bit easier to deal with.

So many of these replies really speak to what I have been experiencing lately. I have been feeling this for most of my life, but only within the last several years has it become so painfully obvious that something is awry or amiss.

The only other time besides recently that I remember feeling this unknown quality of reality so vividly is in the first grade, something about the day was just different. I was just a kid, but i noticed that the day was different somehow.

We are certainly in interesting days.
