the just following orders excuse has been debunked at nuremburg and its a sham of an excuse used by evil people,so you saying if the counclemember told the cops to crack that ladys skull it woulda been legal cuz he ordered it and they should follow it blindly with out questioning? scary stuff man scary stuff

No, its not what I'm saying at all.

I don't support anything here. There is NOT enough information. I was presenting an alternative "what if". But blind hate for "pigs" seems to be dominating this thread.

This is a biased "Rights violated" video. AND it is doing the job it is supposed to do.

Divide and conquer.

Every town needs a militia to keep the pigs in check. If they're violating the Constitution, then we should take that as an act of war and treat it as such.

No doubt.

We all need to stop sitting by ourselves at the computer, bitching about this and that, and organize. Nothing is going to change unless we combine our powers and try to cut this evil down for good.

I am here -- ready and waiting.

Waiting for what, hot shot.
Go do something!

Ok, really. This kind of stuff just keeps happening over and over all across the country. Video record the police from YOUR front yard/property/garage/etc, get arrested/harassed. Get pulled over with a bumper sticker the cops don't like or a book (or God forbid a pocket constitution) in your car the cops don't like, get arrested/harassed. Video record while being pulled over (especially in the God forsaken state of Illinois), get arrested/harassed. Go to a public town meeting and peacefully voice your opinion, get arrested/harassed. Wheelchair bound? Yep, you guessed it, get arrested/harassed/roughed up.

I have had it with these kinds of stories that just don't seem to stop. Why don't they stop? Because we are all a bunch of wimps (myself included). That's why. Nobody ever does anything to lower the boom on the cops when this kind of behavior takes place. I understand the courts suck and that's part of it as well. My point is that when the public gets into this kind of situation they need to legally hit (figuratively speaking) the police departments and officers with everything they have. The departments and the officers involved in these actions HAVE to be held accountable (as do associated politicians). I don't care if it means loss of employment. In fact they should lose their jobs. Immediately if not sooner. They should also be banned from ever holding any kind of law enforcement job ever again, and be banned from buying/owning/possessing firearms, ammunition, and any component in whole or in part thereof. The police and politicians are to serve we the people. Period. This kind of behavior makes our Constitution look like toilet paper! I can only hope this gal can make an example of these thugs.

This is happening more than we know. The problem is not every incident is recorded by someone who is willing to put it on youtube or call the local media about it so it goes unnoticed. It is getting to the point where we have to carry a recording device just to keep our law abiding behinds out of trouble since the cops will find anything to nail you with. The cops clearly can't be trusted and neither can the politicians and judges.

Please, America, wake up!! Enough with the facebook, dancing w/the stars, the housewives shows, or who's pitching in tonight's game!! Read the constitution. Educate yourself a little bit at a time. I have read the Constitution and it gets kinda of boring I'll admit but read it anyways! Take an hour and go down to your local police dept and talk to the police chief or upper level officers. Try going to a town meeting. I have. Will you? If we all start doing these little things to make our voices heard then maybe we can get back to living without worrying about whether or not we're doing something that the police deem illegal when its really our right.

I am flabbergasted at this. What will happen, when they have a re-election, who decides?, The voters or the councillors? And what would happen if the Voter, voted the same Mayor back into office?

I feel sorry for you lot over there right now. You's aren't allowed to dance at monuments, now you are not allowed to speak freely at public meetings, what next? You will not be allowed to breath.

Actually no they do not, well not where I live, it is against the law to do so any ways. Not Muslim Law. UK Law. And if any dude wearing a towel told me to stop drinking, where I live, he would be told where to go.

This is only the begging of Fascist America.

All who sit by are the ones who are responsible for Fascist's taking away our Freedoms.
They instilled FEAR in us with their Patriot Act BS. Now if you complain by any form of protest your a marked person. They film you, they listen to your conversations, they grope you, the need no warrants, all in the name of Terror. But they are the ones who terrorize you with riding of our rights.
One thing about many States is that with all the lobbying from NRA in DC we have 250 million un-registered Guns out there. So where are they in this case. I know we are to civil of a people to bring a Gun to a Town Hall Meeting aren't we? And yet the Cop's have Guns.
There is and old Clash Song from the early eighties that has this line in it " What you gonna do when they come for you? Are you gonna go with your hands on your head? Or on the trigger of your gun?"

You know what my answer would be don't you all?
I have a very Bad Heart and may not live to see the morrow. So, I may have to go a day earlier if they did that to me. They would arrest me like they did to her. Once released, How would they then stop me from facing down that cop in the streets and say good bye to Him?
In my State of NC you can own and not register as many guns as you want. You can carry openly anywhere there is no sign posted saying no guns allowed. At the Bank there is a sign that says no concealed weapons, but that doesn't say any and all guns, so.
I carry openly, if there is no sign I keep it on and can't get busted.
At the very least if a Cop was to attack me I know he would see my gun and think twice if he had any brains.
Look I took a bullet and a knife once. The pain don't hit you till you look at it. Giving a person enough time to react. Reflects are very quick in my case.

I say that women should sue all she can. But we know she wouldn't win any money after August 3rd when US dollar is worth less then toilet tissue.

I would gladly be in the front of the line in the next revolution as my ancestor was during the first.
Will any of you on ATS do the same in the next revolution? LOL.
Me thinks not, me thinks you will not lay down your life for another or will you. As for me I am a Dead Man Walking right now and the funny thing is you all on ATS are also though you may not think so.

First of all I was not slagging off Americans, I was voicing my concerns over the eroding of your civil liberties in the US and you attack my comments. Get off your high horse. Instead of trying to demonise other members comments, maybe you can answer the first part of the question I asked.

Well actually you can't walk down the street with an open bottle of alcohol in Scotland...which is part of the UK...in England you can though, the whole muslim threat is nonsense though. A problem in some areas sure, but on the whole just media tabloid trash for a certain section of British society to lap up.

When is the next election cycle for these local idiots...time to get them out, or even recall if it can't wait that long....thats horrible, but this video is a pretty good nail in the coffin they made themselves...no doubt the councilmembers will soon be looking to flip burgers.

As far as the cops...well, they should have stood back and considered what they are legally supposed to do..the Sg should have simply shrugged after hearing the mayor and stood back, let the woman speak since it was her right...

So ya, I am suspecting some corruption is afoot here.

Starred and Flagged.

If I lived even remotely close to this town I would participate in a campaign to make sure the Mayor stays elected and that the other City Counsel members are voted OUT of office ... and that they're not elected to another office in that county ... ever again.

Just saying ... if it happened in Central or Western Kentucky you can bet I'd be all over it. I hope those that live close to Quartzsite, AZ get off their butts, otherwise action such as this could become the norm in your town.

You're right. There was a previous thread started by yourself. Which I included the link to in my first post. I even made a note to the Mods that I wasn't sure if I should include this NEW information in that thread, or start a new one as an update. Certainly no offense was intended. I know many people won't check back on the old threads and this information seemed very important.

At any point, if the MODS deem necessary or see fit, they are more than welcome to close this thread and direct all traffic to yours.

The quote from the article I included, just below the video:

"About noon today, the town council, at the request of the police chief, declared an official state of emergency," Jones said online. "Please help!" Read more: 'State of emergency' in 'Nazi'-cop town www.wnd.com...

Also, many of you have questioned the situation of the town. In an article mentioned by Elcoyote on this thread he tells us there is far more to the story. I posted a previous link to it, but you can read more here.

It includes how the council attempted to have all powers of the Mayor removed. How they didn't understand his level of popularity. I hope you will all take the time to read it. Obviously I can't post all of it here.

As a candidate for mayor he was threatened with arrest at times and arrested at others. As mayor in addition to being censured for his inquiries into the secrets of the town budget, he was actually arrested at yet another kangaroo council meeting.

The story runs deep and the corruption is mind boggling!

Are they acting as police officers at a city council meeting, or are they acting as private security?

They are acting as police. Due to the way laws work now days because of 9/11 its difficult for someone to be in a uniform that is law enforcement and attempt to make a distinction that they are acting as security and not law enforcement.

It goes back to the court standard for almost everything, which is what would a reasonable person think. Cop uniforms, patches, badges, guns... Not a huge leap of logic in this case. Because of all of that I dont see any way possible for the police to try to make the argument they are acting as private security. Secondly, generally speaking, security is not allowed to effect an arrest (this ill vary from state to state and private security policy and procedures). They can detain and its up to respoding law enforcement to determine if charges will go anywhere.

In situations like that the determination of charges will be at the responding officers discretion. Ive worked calls where ive declind to make the arrest, however I wrote out a report and submitted it to the PA for review and consideration of charges.

City council meetings generally will have a law enforcement presence. Whether or not that presence is visible is another issue entirely. In this scenario, there is no room to assume they are not acting as law enforcemnt in an offical capacity.

Out of curiosity though, why would we go down the road of offical capacity as opposed to security?

I really really think you guys who constantly refer to the Constitution should actually read it and accept it in its ENTIRETY before going after people for supposed violations of it. Secondly, while reviewing it please educate yourselves on the different levels of government and how they work.

I'm pretty sure it is against ATS T&C to post contact information. Perhaps I'm wrong. Either way, I sent a letter to the Governor, and many numbers are listed on the bottom of this article.

Good advice! I don't necessarily believe calls and letters are working these days but I'm too far away to confront those LEOs and the council of that town.

UPDATE:
I was reading about this whole situation and wanted more information, unlike most 23 year old Americans, I actually used my efforts. So i called Mr. Ed Foster. Here is what I found out.

The power has been out for the past 24 hours not due to the situation, but from a storm that passed through and knocked down 5 poles in one area, and 3 other poles in another. The are expecting the power to be turned on by 11pm.
The phone lines at times are overwhelmed, considering this is a very small town, consisting of only 2000 and has only 13 officers. But you can get through if you call enough times.
Yesterday they called for a secret meeting locking out the Mayor as the decided on how to approach the new incoming harasment from our beautiful country of ours. In fact!, the police are trying to arrest the woman in the video, Jennifer Jones, for causing this mess. Ha!!! Yeah she is the reason for the mess, but because she was being violated and the world saw it.
He is very excited about all the calls and support he is gaining, for a while he thought that this situation was a loss cause. For, even during his campaigning he was arrest 12 times.
Thousands are coming from the valley in Arizona to join in the fight against these criminals. Some say it from the Ron Paul revolution group, but that is yet to be confirmed.

I advise everyone to start doing their own research, i was amazed on how easy it was to get right to the top of this situation and hear it from the people involved.
Another step for Ats to actually report the news, not forward it.
