I found an EVP in an iTunes song

I was going to say that as well (about his email address) but apparently I'm trying to be a mod so I refrained...

I know the dangers of my email address being posted, but I don't mind.

You don't have to buy the song from iTunes to hear the sample they have, and it's on the sample I listened to from their site.

But yes, I looked for it on youtube and all those versions are live. I didn't bother listening to them to see if they had it obviously.

Not my song, but it is from a favorite artist of mine, I love Jamey Johnson, that's how I found it.

But again, no need to pay anything. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the free and shorter iTunes sample has the EVP. Just after he says "religion and wars" is the best time to hear it, but it's also just after that.

Someone back me up please?

Listening to the CD, and don't hear anything unusual.
@ the 50 sec. mark - Just an echo effect with his voice, and a synthesizer/organ sound comes in...

Well, it may not be exactly the 50 second mark, it's right after he says "religion and wars".

If you have the CD, awesome. Also listen to the iTunes version to hear what I'm hearing so you know what I'm hearing. If you hear it on iTunes but not on CD, then that's something. If you just don't hear it on CD and don't hear it on iTunes, then you're just not hearing it. It's pretty damn clear to my ears.

Again, if you can't hear it on CD, try to hear it on iTunes. It's free. I'd like someone to hear what I'm hearing, then definetly not hear it on CD to debunk it.

Let me know.

And to clarify, the EVP sound I hear is certainly NOT an echo effect or synthesier effect. It's not meant to be there whatever it is.

Do you have a link to this version somewhere online? Would I have to download iTunes to hear it?

Also, I don't hear anything weird on the Jamey Johnson's - MySpace version of the song either.

I assume you would have to download a version that's through iTunes. I just say that because the iTunes version has the EVP. Thus I assume all version from it have it as well.

Not to do anything illegal, but just download the song through your normal channel nowadays. Hehhehe.

And again, you don't have to pay for anything to hear it from iTunes. I heard it originally on my own CD, I checked out the sample on iTunes freely, and it's on the sample too.

Still waiting for someone to hear that sample and confirm I'm not crazy?

What exactly does this EVP say?

I have the mp3. If anyone can suggest a good public place to easily upload it where downloads would be easy, I'm open ears. I tried youtube but the top rated movie maker looked for "media files" and didn't recognize the mp3s I have. I don't have to upload the entire song anywhere, just the few seconds in question.

I can't really tell what the EVP says. I personally feel most EVPs are open to interpretation, and may sound like whatever someone else suggests.

No doubt someone will suggest something here what it sounds like, and after someone reads that interpretation and then listens to it, they'll think that to.

That's just my own opinion about EVPs.

All I'm saying is that there is no doubt voices there that absolutely aren't meant to be there in the final product. Everything in between is open to interpretation obviously, in my ears anyway.

The link above is provided courtouesy of the guy above a few posts, it's from myspace.com. And the EVP is there in that file as well. As I said, it's early on, about 50 seconds or so, just after "religion and wars". And some after the next line, "drugs and divorce". And no kidding, you'd have to be deaf no to hear it. Anyone listening to these samples and not hearing it just don't have it turned up loud enough, it's very clear.

What it says I don't know. I explained that earlier, I think its open to mass interpretation.

There are most certinaly quiet voices just after :religion and wars: in the song files I'm hearing. Click on the myspace links above, totally free, and they work. It's around 50 seconds into it, like I've said.

If you can't hear it, then I'm crazy. But it's very, very obvious EVP as far as EVPs go.

Hi OP, I have listened to it twice, the first time I didnt hear anything but the second time I put my ear right upto the speaker and I heard a whisper, gonna listen to it again to make sure.


Yep just listened again and there's a whisper there.

If you turn the volume up LOUD, you can definitely hear a voice saying something, but it's very difficult to make out the exact words. You can't hear it at all at normal volume.

I've said several times "what I think is EVP". It's disemboided vvoices just after he says "religion and wars" and perhaps more after "drugs and divorce". I've said this before. Listen to the audio file from iTunes or the earlier posted myspace.

I'm really sick of defending myself. Close the thread if you like, I'll just send the audio files to TPTB.
