Actually we do live in a gated community/group....this isnt all by any means but thats my bug out tools....with a apck...the rest is stored and guarded

A cattle prod hooked up to couple of backpack slung car batteries.

Chainsaws are no good, they sieze up when they hit warm, wet flesh.

Run, shoot, run. Can't let them zombies locate you by the sound of your fire arm so staying stationary with a machine gun is bad idea.

In a world where you need to worry about supplies constantly i think any full auto firearm is a bad choice. Blows through to much ammo. An AR-15
sounds like an alright firearm. 5.56mm ammo is light enough to carry a decent amount of it. A 9mm side arm would be a good choice since ammo is
plentiful and also as before its light. Some kind of body armor would also be a good idea. Again something light weight like abs plastic would be
nice. A melee weapon is a must. A neoprene riot baton would be a good choice since its unbreakable and once again light weight. If your going to be on
foot during this you want to keep the weight down to increase reaction time and your combat effectiveness. A long knife would also be another good
melee weapon. I do agree with the post above a hardened vehicle like a tank or apc would be nice. Just remember though these vehicles are hardcore
fuel guzzlers. An m1a1 abrams tank only gets 400 miles will its huge gasoline turbine engine. Be prepared for alot of stops. Having ammo for the big
guns on top of those vehicles would probably be a good idea... I dont call this being paranoid i call it being prepared

id go ak-47 with a barrel cartridge, its an extremly durable gun so i could rely on it well enough.
after im out of ammo,id just take a metal bat and pray for the best, plus for a bonus ill keep a shoe knife to add to kicking potential

ur best bet to surviving a zombie apocolypse is to find a vehicle that runs of diesel,rather than gas. it would be easier to find fuel since 5% of the world vehicles run off diesel. and as for a gun i personally dont think it matters, just as long as u get headshots and you have alot of ammo! i would use a sword of some type as a side weapon. just my thoughts. let me know if anyone agrees.

M4-Carbine with holographic scope, AA-12 shotgun, beretta M93R-AG 3 burst shot with a machete and bowie knife and from what ive seen in movies zombies

I would definately seclude myself and others into some sort of warehouse at first, get a large vehicle and fill it with supplies and food/medicine and
park it there. I'd barricade the building as much as possible but have a way out like onto the roof. and also armor the vehicle completely.
I would armor myself with something light weight and tough like leather, so it would make it hard for something to bite/scratch through if it were to reach an exposed area. On top of that you might want something a little more protective and light weight like say a motocross chest protector and definately something to protect your head/face. I think a hockey helmet with the cage instead of a visor would be perfect. Elbow/knee pads would be essential along with heavy duty steel toe boots.
I think the best plan would be to get away from the urban environment ASAP though, collect essential supplies like medicine, a portable water purifier, important tools like axe/hammer/saw/ etc. get a 4x4 vehicle and go north into the canadian mountains. I'd stick to leather and animals furs as clothing and try to live off the land, setting up a settlement. Hopefully most animals if any would be effected by the "virus" or w/e and just hunt them. your vehicle would come in handy to supply you with materials if you take it apart.
Zombies are supposed to be mindless eating machines so using intelligence is key in surviving. Rather than walking in the open with guns ablazing would not work out well. I would prefer to bait/trick/trap them into doom. Immobilizing large groups is more important than shooting wildly, wasting time, supplies and energy. even if you are killing a lot.
Travel as lightly as possible, using quiet weapons like crossbows/blunt weapons, and having some shotguns/small handguns for emergency. I could go on and on and on with strategies like this lol.

I would just use some well placed neutron bombs.

I like the classics so I'd go with a STURMGEWEHR 44, MP40, KARABINER 98K and I'd drive me and 5 of my friends around in a PANZERKAMPFWAGEN VI Tiger
tank!!!!!! For melee I'd use a sharpened shovel with a 6 foot long handle and a Scotish Claymore.
