It could be real?

.....
refer back to the rant a couple comments up, wheres the ignore button when you need one,

and refer to the description a couple comments up about the youtube vids showing lanterns, they are different than the one i saw

Ok, i don't think anybody is saying you didn't see something but the proof you are showing us is not very clear, and it doesn't help that it was taken on the 4th July with the potential for fireworks and lanterns to cause confusion.

This type of footage is too easy to debunk and doesn't help us believers in our cause.

Regards
Steve

So this was the 4th of July right? As I hear fireworks in the background audio.

So on that basis I'm saying all you saw and filmed was Chinese lanterns.

You know what is funny to me?

I love the 4th of July. Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved fireworks. Many years ago I began a tradition of spending lots of money on things that go boom for the 4th of July. I have been to huge firework warehouses, little stands in local areas, I have been to many places that sell everything fireworks that goes boom and I have seen fireworks off all types. Not once in all my years of shopping in the USA have I ever seen a "Chinese Lantern". Don't get me wrong, I know they are real, but I have never actually seen one. So sometimes when I come into this forum I can not help but wonder, with all these Chinese Lanterns that seem to be flying around our skies, where do these people get them?

I will

I posted earlier a video, 2 videos of lanterns, they are going very slowly,( currently when i taped that there was no wind, so its impossible to have those lanterns go half as fast as an airplane about 250-300 mph) In the video it slowly went up

And in the video, you can actually see the lanterns getting brighter, then dimmer, as would something on fire, theres a firey hue around the lantern, and i saw many of them tonight, with my binoculars, none of them had that.

Plus within a ton of states i couldnt even find one for sale

That would be nice. But, really, that wouldn't prove anything either. Photos and videos by themselves mean nothing. They can perhaps show that something was in the air at that time, but they can't tell what. That's just the way it goes. At this point in UFO history, we have more photos and videos than ever, and still don't have a clue as to what they are.

They must be available in Missouri but most people probably buy them online .
There is also a Chinese Lantern Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden .
www.bizjournals.com...

The exhibition is the first of its kind and size in the United States, offering visitors a unique opportunity to witness a spectacle rarely staged outside of Asia. The outdoor display will run from May 26 through Aug. 19, 2012.
