Why is the NEA endorsing Obama for re-election so soon? With education the way it is in this country and not even knowing who's running against Obama yet, what's going on???
It's too early for a presidential endorsement from such a union!

Why delay the inevitable? They're basically just a wing of the Democratic party anyway. I wish all of the unions would follow their lead. It removes all doubt as to what they're really about.

This early endorsement seemed rushed through, though, and made all educators come across as ultra-liberal and pro-Obama. That is definitely not the case. If anything, this action just shows how entranced workers are by their union leaders - and how they shouldn't be. Members ought to stand up and have a mind of their own and force the union leaders into being more logical.
It's obvious the union is trying to over-impress Obama. The question is "why?" What do they expect in return that they haven't gotten during Obama's first term? And what makes them think they'll 'get whatever it is they want 'during the second term? The whole think reeks of illogical thinking.
