Hello all.

So my question for everyone today is........How do you perceive the universe around you ? What is it ? How do you think it began ?
Whether you believe in "God" or the "Big Bang" or what ever else, i want to know what you think.

Although i am pretty much dumbfounded at the universe and its creation, I'll go first in my opinion.
..........
.........
........
I don't know to be honest, I think that it is impossible for something to be created from nothing ("Big Bang"). And in my mind, in order for "God" to exist, he/she/it still had to be created. All this leaves me VERY confused and depending on my mood, can leave me questioning the reality of this "reality". By the way, just from the last sentence, im not psychotic haha, i use my confusion to my advantage
.

So tell me what you think, add all that you want, even questions that i didnt ask. I'm in a bit of a reading mood today.

You can't apply scientific logic and reasoning to a theological subject. Faith is faith. Unless you believe "god" is more the very embodiment of the universe and all existence then he/it was created; by the big bang.

That said, I don't believe I've seen anyone suggest that nothing existed prior to the big bang, it may have simply been incredibly compressed matter.

I perceive nothing in the universe, I simply don't think about it. What I make of what is around me is energy. I definetly believe in an on going present creator, most importantly I believe in being able to perceive after life. This gives me a disadvantage so I am trying to make calculations, the people around me...the choices I make...I am trying to substantiate myself and give some kind of concrete foundation to this reality.

Interesting thread topic, and I have pondered these questions myself over the years.

I used to believe in a creator, yet the question of where the creator came from was a tough one. I don't know what I believe in anymore, but I don't really buy into the "big bang" theory.

When I see the awesome beauty of nature, especially flowers, and plant life...it makes me wonder on how they came to be....and if they were created by some force...or energy . Seeing truly beautiful things in nature makes me think there is a God, yet there are some very ugly and deadly things in nature as well.

I'm trying to not concentrate too much on things that can't be easily answered, and try to enjoy the "being" part of life as much as possible...though at times it isn't easy.

There is no Universe as we perceive it.

We are trapped in a bubble, with something akin to a black cloth draped over it. There are holes in the cloth, and a light bulb on behind it.

The holes in the cloth are stars, planets, galaxies.

You can only escape the bubble from within and to within.

Dont know about the big bang..perhaps thenGod was created in it..Personaly I believe the world we live on is alive a life beyond our perception..I have been told God is in every liveing thing and all around us

What I wonder is why He allows all the suffering and strife in our lives..or do we bring it upon ourselves?
As for me ? I believe in God by faith..and try to live as best I can..knowing that although I am not perfect and cannot be He still loves me.

I think some suffering is brought on by our own choices, but much of it is not...though it is brought on by the choices of others perhaps. Its good to have faith, in something that is good ,loving, forgiving, and offers strength and wisdom when needed. A loving energy is what I want to hold onto, because it is what drives you through the difficult times, and it is the only energy that can truly heal....and seem to make things beautiful again. It is the energy that allows me to forgive myself for not being perfect , and allows me to see the good in others.

Infinite. If there was absolutely nothing that's all there will be. Since there is something there always has been and always will be something.

Thats what i have begun thinking, the way people say "god is in everyone and everything" just makes me think "god" is matter that has created life, not a physical being or even a consciousness.

Im sorry, you have just blown my mind with the compressed matter, impossible to comprehend how big that sucker would have been. Thanks for writing on here, you have been making me think haha.

I know how you feel, i have been around clairvoyant kinda stuff since i was little (my mum is into it haha) so it has given me more fields to explore, but can confuse me at times.

If you begin to lose grip on reality just think to yourself "Screw it, if this isn't real then im going to make it mine, i will be who i want to be". I find it gives me confidence in things i do
.

The only ugly and deadly thing i see in nature are humans haha. Most animals dont kill eachother for the hell of it and wreck the land beneath them. Makes me think humans dont belong here.

May i ask which approach you took to believe in a creator ? not that its any of my business...

Due to the fact we cannot dissprove what you have said. I am going to label that as plausible.
Let the imagination run free, as far as im concerned, the possiblities on the creation of this universe are endless.

You are what you are, if god has created you, then you are what god wants you to be no matter what you do.

I havent been brought up with any religious background, but i can understand the belief of all religions. Everyone is just looking for answers

Thats the hurdle i cant jump.
As far as we humans understand, there has to be something in order for another something to be created. If there was nothing then it would seem impossible for something to be created. But how was the very first somthing created.

I know it is a tough one. As we send our scientists out to add everything up the numbers just keep going with no solid boundaries currently quantified. Maybe I am wrong and there is an end to it somewhere, but I am not yet convinced or fully certain of what they may be.

hmmm..There's some pretty nasty insects and bugs that are a part of nature...even some plants that aren't too friendly. And quite frankly the animal kingdom has its share of morbidly aggressive behavior for survival .
As far as an approach to belief in a creator, I would say I have taken a few approaches over the years...and I'm still unsure as to what the answers are.

Doesn't necessarily have to have been big, though it would have been, it's size would have been incomprehensible to the human mind: size, and perspective have often been a subject of literature, Stephen King played with it quite a bit and one has to wonder when pondering insects, if what is large to us may not be small to something else.

What if whole universes are contained within black holes, their gravity is the cumulative gravity of that which is contained within. What if beyond the edge of our own universe is another, in which, we would be as atoms.

Yes man, we need to talk more... I am 29 right now and have a deep overlonged urge to study clairvoyance from just about every real book I can. I mean face in literature for hours and hours. By the time I'm 33 I want to be psychic (or use those capabilties from what I've learned).
