The Taliban has told the BBC it has killed a soldier in the area.

The BBC's Quentin Sommerville in Kabul said a local Taliban fighter told the BBC that insurgents had captured a foreign soldier in the Babaji area and after a firefight the solider was killed.

Sounds like he put up a fight before he was killed. Assuming it's the same person.

just read that someone was missing ...but now they found them and not sure if he dead or alive?
wtf surely they will know straight away if he dead or alive?
apparantly he was captured by taliban and as the firefighting got more serious they were forced to kill him rather than keep him hostage
