ok so the sky recently has been doing something a little odd!

I have noticed this type of sky more and more often recently! at first i thought nothing of it but then i seen this picture!

I just cant explain it!

Do you have rain after these clouds ?

What you are seeing are Noctilucent clouds.

In the pictures I saw, they just look like thin, wispy clouds at sunset.

They are definitely Noctilucent Clouds, been seen here (Scotland) over the past 6 days.

saw some of those last night in northeast ohio. very nice looking!!

I am too far south to ever see something like that. North has the coolest atmospheric effects at night to watch...but whatever, we got beaches.

Yeah these things are cool, noctilucent clouds. I have been keeping an eye out for them here but no luck just yet. The past couple of nights the UK has had quite a nice display however. I hoping the small CME that's arriving on the 6th may induce a more powerful show although the link with solar activity and these clouds are less understood.

This is a very good pic. I think I know what you are talking about. How at night some clouds are a bright white and stick out from the darkness of the night, even when their is no moon light to reflect.
