Fox Twitter hacked: Obama Reportedly Assassinated

I got that same feeling when I read about this

This doesn't seem like any kind of important message, and it got almost no coverage. I don't do twitter but no one was talking about it on facebook, and I had to do a couple of searches on ATS to find this thread (might have been in the firehose but I didn't want to read down it )

Anyway, looking forward to seeing who claims it. Did someone mention scriptkiddies?

I know someone mentioned how "twitter" is almost impossible to hack... I disagree with that, but I do think this is kind of phony. My immediate thought was it was an inside job by a Fox representative, but with the lack of coverage, I have to lean more towards it being a "testing the water" sort of thing, rather than a publicity stunt...

On the other hand, maybe they were just trying to point out that weiner was framed But thats only plausible if it gets some MSM time. As is, no one is noticing.

Fox News is a creepy propaganda machine for corporate elitists. This is yet another creepy thing they've done, added to a miles-long list of proven misinformation tactics that were so red-handed they often have to apologize for them the morning after they're found out, but of course their die-hard fanbase shrugs off these admitted lies and other underhanded tactics and continues to blindly believe they can do no evil.

Partisanship is a stubborn thing, isn't it? There are many wise conservatives out there, but we all feel the temptation to march to some greater cause. So instead of settling for some boring, nonpartisan news channel we align ourselves to the likes of Fox and NBC, boosting their ratings and perpetuating a culture of division. We choose to trust these sensationalist, far-right or far-left stories over our own research. We are silenced by our own desire to be heard.

I know that few people will read this and even fewer will agree with me. But please find it in your heart this 4th of July to remember the spirit of compromise and the tolerance of different viewpoints that made this country great.

And may God help us if the CIA, the military, or the Secret Service are controlled by the same people who control Fox News.

Fox did report on OBL being dead a couple of hours before it was officially released....................ya never know, maybe it was leaked to early and they have to change the script now.

None of this justifies a false assassination headline however. But to say it's racist is crazy. After all, there are numerous false celebrity deaths none of which are ever called racist. Why, just because Obama is black, does everything HAVE to be racist?
