America this IS your Independence day!

Two hundred and 35 years ago, your forefathers established the United States of America, and democracy was born.
In just a few short hours you will be celebrating your independence.

Take some time to think about your freedom, your individual passion for peace and justice.

Think about how the world has been shaped into the form we have today, remember those values that your great nation was built upon, and together as one, stand up and reclaim your America. Let this once again, become your independence day.

Before or After the BBQ..?

you know, I wish a lot more people in this country would think of July 4th like you do. Unfortunately, many people in this country only care about when the next episode of jersey shore is.

They established a Republic, not a Democracy. I just wanted to point that out. It's too broken now to be fixed without a serious reboot. Both parties are corrupt, and by the time any politician hits the national stage, they've been bought and paid for. I won't be flying my flag, and I won't be celebrating. Sad, considering I'm a veteran, and love what this country once stood for.

the democracy that was established was based on native Americans nations...so it usurped the native governments... i love my country but it has been a thief from day one.

We don't even live in a democracy. We live under a Representative Republic.

Democracy was around thousands of years before the US was even a thought. But happy independence day.
