I believe that a one world government is the next step in social evolution. We are stuck in a materialistic age where individual concerns take up all our creative energy. We are at this time, incapable as a species to act in the greater interest of mankind.

I believe that the world economic crisis and multiple violent conflicts over resources are not a malicious plan of the elite, but the symptoms of the current social structure that rewards the actions of those that work for personal gain and not for the benefit of mankind. I don't deny the existence of an elite body. I do however think it is possible that they are as materialistic as any other demographic.

The Idea of a one world government had been around since the days of Socrates, who said, "I am not an Athenian, or a Greek, but a citizen of the world." As we approach the limits of the sustainability of a materialistic world, and subconsciously recognize the need for a social change on a global scale, the idea of a one world government is becoming more prominent in our thoughts, and in our activities. The problem is that we don’t trust the idea of a one world government, as our own mindsets are that of an individualistic species. As we are pushed into realizing our need for it, we become more resistant. Even if we as individuals understand the need for a one world government, we do not trust that the motives of the elite are noble, and rightly so. But the do seem to be pushing for it.

I can conceive of three plausible reasons for the pursuit of a one world government by the elite. They are as follows:

1: Totalitarian rule over the populous for the individual gain of the elitist few.

2: An honest effort to create a one world government for the benefit of mankind.

3: An effort to create strong resistance to a one world government that takes power from the elite and puts it in the hands of the populous.

The first scenario would set mankind back centuries if not more. The second is capable of quickly achieving success. The third is a delaying tactic which can last only as long as we as a global community allow.

If you agree with the idea of a one world government, let us know your ideas of how best to achieve it. If you disagrees with the idea, tell us why and suggest an alternative.

I see a lot of threads recently about how best to survive a world disaster, be it natural or man-made. You wont find me cowering in a hole if we get to that stage. I will meet the future of mankind head on and with a smile, for I would rather be there to witness our destruction than to miss out on our greatest triumph.

let me give a lil heads up of what I think
this NWO will consist of.

Huge corporations will rape and pillage
small communities of their resources
for their own corporate profits.

have you seen what the oil companies are doing
to the locals in Brazil ???

leaving their land uninhabitable.

Who will stand up for these small
communities of people when the
international conglomerates turn
these people and their property
into slaves for Fascism ???

Nobody

we are doomed at that point.

No thank you to your NWO
owned by corporate banksters.

there will be no more elections,
there will be selections like in the EU.

You will not have a say so in anything
in your life. Your life will be controlled
by someone else. Say good bye to
freedom and free will.

If all people worked for the benefit of their fellow human beings, there would be no need for a one-world government, nor any government for that matter. The way we perceive our relationship to others must change on a fundamental level if humanity is to evolve.

What ever would you do if I were to put up a list of the many positive things corporations have done. Blaming one entity for the creation of all the problems in the world is unrealistic.

My thread here answers for me in this one.
What is it you are truly fighting for or against?

I feel you must have an agreed upon arbitrator for setteling disputes or you have inner conflict that mirrors the Montigues and Capulets.

One Government, no matter how large, can ever represent humanity as a whole.

Any attempt at a One World Government would just bring hardship and exploitation to the smaller peoples and to those who cannot bring as much to the table so to speak.

This is not the right path for humanity, and as such, shall not be our next evolution. Period.

And what exactly should that world government look like? An Islamic theocracy, liberal democracy, Communist dictatorship? There are too many different groups of people who have different ideas about the way their world should be structured for a world government to work and be to the benefit of humanity.

the future of mankind is no government

the future of mankind is a society where duties & values replace laws & morals

Understand:
laws are privileges, morals are socio-cultural conditioning
values are self-understood in-temporal and universal ideas; duties the respect of those values in each and all of our thoughts & actions

a one-world government run by spiritual masters and humanist/ecologist scientists could be a transition state that could accelerate the evolution (since most of people still needs to be told what to do); i grant you that.

the future of mankind is love

otherwise there will be no future.

So how is that any different than what they have been doing to us? The big corporations are exactly why we are in this mess in the first place. When every needed resource goes up in price constantly and wages stay the same( if one can even stay employed)and the cost keeps being pushed on to the consumer this is exactly what happens! Period!

There isn't one shred of good that can come from a world government. Because the same people who run the world now, will be running it then. And they have proven beyond a reasonable doubt, they cannot be trusted for a moment. There is nothing attractive, spiritual, or natural about a one world system. Or putting ruling authority into the hands of a single governing entity. Part of the diversity of this planet is its different cultures. Part of the safety of this planet is a seperation of powers worldwide. Yes, I said that.

Unfortunately, we already live under a clandestine and burgeoning world government. Which is why the world is in the mess it is in now. Peace and plenty will never be achieved in this world until those who are now in the seats of power are removed, nationalism is reinstated fully, and countries mind their own business, and respect each others borders, laws, and traditions. Then we can have equitable world trade and treaties that will benefit the whole of society. Then we can move forward in a "social evolution" that creates growth for mankind as a whole by the sharing of technologies and ideas.

Obviously, this is not going to happen. But it isn't going to happen with a one world system either.

Don't blame the common people of this planet for the crimes of a handful of creatures that barely resemble human beings. Human beings, as a whole, are more than capable of governing themselves once they are put in a position having to do so.

There will always be greedy people who will do anything to take what they feel they deserve!

NWO is the elite wanting it all in one basket!

Yes, I believe so and agree that world government is inevitable, whether Christian fundamentalists or radical libertarians like it or not. Man started out defining his borders at his family, and then his tribe, and then villages propped up, which became cities, and finally the nation-states we have today. Logic dictates we will have a world government soon, either in a century or five centuries. We have simply become too interdependent on each other for us to start decentralizing.

The faulty argument that "there are too many people to control" can easily be used in favor of breaking up the U.S into 50 states because, obviously, a government that has absolute control over 300 million people of varying ethnic backgrounds, religions, and beliefs is going to be a corrupt dictatorship, isn't it?

The Future Of Mankind isnt in the hands of a group who we dont even know 100% is real its with everyone else and our decisions as a race. People keep on being scared and scaring people with all this fear spreading with all these "OMG THE NWO IS GOING TO TAKE US OVER" and not focusing on things that are really happening. Which is making us look stupid and slowing us down. Also how the Government is going especially with the United States we are destined to be invaded and to start a Nuclear War. (which is a REAL thing to be concerned about)

If we changed the way we looked and reacted about things and acted civilized on a global scale we will thrive as a Race.

OP the world does not work the way you think it does.

See, there are a lot of good people in this world that write essays on how merciful it is to legalize lethal injections for the suffering, but see, they write that way not knowing who engineers the diseases and what brotherhoods many people in the medical community belong and what body organ and blood bank quotas these sold-out backstabbers to humanity have to accomplish on a ritual basis.

The future of mankind is evolution.

It is the expansion of our awareness to consume and resolve more of the paradox of nothing/infinity.

To get there, everything in this image of that paradox must be resolved. Resolution is the process of unconditional love or total destruction. They are both a means to an end unveiling the nature of everything which is awareness of a portion of infinity.

The future of mankind is awareness of a greater portion of infinity. Our purpose will still be the same. Resolving the paradox of infinity/nothing. Which of course is impossible and existence is eternal.

And nothing and infinity ARE one.

If infinity were something, it would be finite, therefore infinity can only be nothing.
Anything you say about infinity can be said about nothing.

I believe that the higher powers are going to convince the masses that we almost completely destroyed our planet, guilt tripping us and then making us pay for greener energy. There is no way that we can keep burning fossil fuels, eventually it will have an adverse effect on our planet and there is no way they are letting us have our energy for free.

I absolutely disagree with that statement. I think it is the exact opposite where the collective is trying to supress the individual creativeness.
