The Navy Bought Fake Chinese
Microchips That Could Have Disarmed U.S. Missiles
Last year, the U.S. Navy bought 59,000 microchips for use in everything from missiles to transponders and all of them turned out to be
counterfeits from China.
Wired reports the chips weren't only low-quality fakes, they had been made with a "back-door" and could have been remotely shut down at any
time.
Whoever thought that buying microchips for the US military in China needs to be FIRED if not INVESTIGATED FOR BEING A SPY/DOUBLE AGENT...
Seriously. What would have had happened if this wouldn't have been found? Go to war with China over Taiwan for example, and boom, planes, boats,
radars and missiles don't work because China activated the back doors, leading to the death of tens of thousands of Americans and the sinking of a
battlegroup or two?
The freaking US government is either hopelessly incompetent (buying critical hardware for the military in a potential enemy country) or either full of
double agents and spies who actively work to destroy the US military.
Which is it?
Either way it's not good. Not to mention, China doing this kind of stuff is a declaration of war, it's an act of war. It's the same thing as if they
had sent double agents in several lockheed martin factories to put backdoors/sabotage US military hardware in thousands of vehicules/planes/boats...
That kind of large scale military sabotage is an act of war.
