My sighting

I am a truck driver, currently unemployed. I've been one since late 2000.

Here is my UFO sighting.

It happened in daylight on I-8. I'm a little fuzzy on the exact location but can say it was either in west AZ or east CA. My best guess is AZ, east of Yuma. When it happened, the last thing I thought about was documenting my location.

I was driving westbound, enjoying the desert scenery. I had the road to myself. It's not a heavily traveled interstate, at least in that area.

I looked to my right and saw some large objects. At first I thought they may be large birds. I kept an eye on them as I had the opportunity, and they quickly got closer. That is when I realized that they weren't birds.

They (about 7) flew right in front of me. If I had to guess, it was well within a 1/2 mile and well below 600 feet. I can say that because I know how the St Louis Arch looks up close and that is over 600 feet tall. They would have flown underneath the arch easily, like some idiot pilots have done in the past.

They were small. Comparable or slightly smaller than F-16s, dark colored. There were no vertical surfaces. I can't say they were regularly shaped like frisbees because I never saw their shape of the top or bottom.

They flew like rocks skipping on water, up and down, rinse and repeat. There was no military-like straight and level formation flying.

If I had to guess at what speed, I'd say 250-300 mph.

If I had a dashcam of some sort, I'd be famous now. Or if I had a vid, I'd be hearing "HOAX!" right about now. As it stands, you have to just take my word for it.

I can definitely say that they were not concerned about being spotted. Should they have turned left as they approached, they would have crossed behind me and I'd have never known they were there. They had to have seen me long before I saw them,

If they were US military, I also think it's safe to assume they violated Mexican airspace since I-8 runs close to the border. They didn't make any turns.

ETA They made little or no noise. If they were jets, I'd have definitely heard them.

Thanks for sharing man!

Sounds similar to something my brother and I saw last year.

We couldn't really make out a shape but they seemed circular and dark.

The ones we saw were also constantly changing formation to almost perfection.

Did the ones you see change formation or did they stay in the original grouping you saw them in?

There could be no formation. They were all over the place, bouncing up and down. It was just more like a group heading in the same direction.

I see. Well cool either way.

Level-headed post with good detail. More should be like this.

Too bad the chance for someone else sighting this is so slim.

But you might want to consider submitting this to one of the sighting databases, because that way if others saw the same thing earlier or later, they can piece together a larger picture of the event.

I thought about it, but what you read is what I remember, and even that is short on specifics. I don't know what use it would be to them.

It kind of makes me wonder what I missed though. It could be Battlestar Galactica vs Star Wars overhead and I could easily miss it all. Visibility in a truck is good, to the front. But it's poor when trying to look up.

Nope,

Did you post your experience?

There are quite a few reports of similar sightings especially in the Yuma area of Arizona. The one thing all the sightings have in common is the lack of an answer as to their origin .Weather baloon is getting a little old. Manmade or not, I think we have the right to know what the hell is going on.

I have not posted my sightings here on ATS in detail ....but I do reply to stories like yours and try to convey that I have had similar experiences.

Last year after 3 separate sightings..... I went to MUFON's site and posted all of them with as much detail as I could.

After that MUFON contacted me a few months later via telephone to get a better description of what happened.

It was all very interesting. This year hasn't been as exciting though.... I still always look up!

Careful with this sentence...although you would think you might have heard jets...there is technology that makes military crafts not only stealthy to radar but to the average persons auditory perception too.

Customarily we hear the roaring thunder as jets pass overhead, but this is a new era of technology and stealth has a new meaning, just because you did not hear anything does not mean they were not military crafts of some sort...just saying.

I don't doubt what you saw...although some evidence would be nice...we will go with your first hand explanation of this sighting...I am going to question the sound though and if you are using this as further evidence that it could not have been...well then I am going to say...yes it could have been.

Either way...without video evidence and your first hand account of it all as the only evidence...you might find I am not the only person who might question it authenticity...you could be a science fiction writer for all I know right? Not to derail your thread...just my two cents on the topic...please continue!

I never considered that.

I just mentioned the 'no sound' as simply stating a fact, and not to attach any kind of meaning to it regarding ET or terrestrial origin.

If I found out that it was .mil and uber-stratospheric classified , it wouldn't surprise me, but it would increase my confusion since they had to have known that I would see them flying right in front of me. hell, they could have killed me if they wanted to, if they had any kind of armament, and no one would have seen it happen.

And yes, I know that people might consider my story to be BS. Like I posted above I could have had video of it and people would say it's a hoax. None of this bothers me. I guess you had to be there

That is why I wish I had an exact location. All I could give was my best guess. I would love to know what the similarities are.

They flew between me an a mountain range. I have no idea which one it was; there are several. I could never keep them straight, even though I drove through there once a week.

Yes...very true...I am glad you did not find my reply offensive. It does seem to be one of those "had to be there..." chance situations...I have often caught myself saying that about even the most believable of things!

And true again you have shared your experience with those that will closely dissect it and try to tear it to pieces, so in this case video might have helped a lot, and yes there would have been those who still said it was a hoax, but sometimes the proof is in the pudding...so to say. Video surely would not have hurt matters any, and would have only offered support to your claim...maybe next time...glad they did not kill you! Another chance yet to capture the video of lifetime still a possibility!

Camcorders are like cops. They're everywhere, when they aren't wanted or needed.

If others situations are like mine, if you don't have a camcorder in your hands already, it's too late to go looking for one.
