Well now that you explained your reasoning I take back my comment

However you should note that throwing around the "Jew" phrase will often lead to that accusation. Same with all races actually I suppose.

Well back to that point, I was under the impression that Beck quit and wasn't forced out and have yet to see any evidence to the contrary so I'm gonna have to stick to my statement that other news networks have far more problems than fox does.

Ok that makes sense now that you explained it.
Thanks.

By the way I thought Murdoch was far more powerful than Soros so why would he be worried unless i'm confused on this match up?

ur welcome

and the match-up:
Soros vs Murdoch

Soros represents the Rothschilds.
I don't have a clue who Murdoch represents
other than himself. If you find out, let me know.
I would be eager to have that info

And it's hard to have deeper pockets
than the Rothschilds

Now ya know why Murdoch caved in on Beck.

They know that alternative media is winning, they know their credibility is slipping, its a sad cry for a false sense of integrity and truth. Many people are waking up.. good luck to the propaganda spewing fox... not.

Unlike the leftist msnbc who's credibility is outstanding.

At least fox isn't having to suspend it's anchors. Msnbc has had to do it twice recently

Thats because fox has no ethics.

Why in the world would you point out the fact he's a jew? What could that possibly have to do with anything other than the fact you want to throw it in the spotlight.

Is there another reason you felt compelled to release that information?

Yes, there is
thanks for asking.

Jon is a Jew
so is Murdoch, the CEO
of Fox Network.

Jon is an Atheist Jew.
Murdoch is a religious Jew.
Soros is also an Atheist Jew.

You see how the tag team stacks up??

Religious Jews vs Atheist Jews

I thought this would have been apparent,
but maybe not, had to spell it out for ya.

You believe Stewart to be an atheist jew..
few things...

1) how do you know he is an atheist?
2) how can you be an atheist jew? judism is a religion..like being an atheist christian, no?
3) I think ultimately its not atheism verses theism...its ratings verses ratings (go figure.

Stewart is from a jewish family...he has a banker in the family...
this is news how? steriotypically, I think all jewish familys require a banker or lawyer in their family

in his show.

2) How can you be an atheist Jew?

TV news seems slow and stupid to me.

I can get the same information from 5 minutes online that I can get in an hour of watching TV.

The medium itself is going to die eventually, just wait.

People sometimes say the youth watches too much TV but everyone my age I know watches hardly any TV at all, if anything they are online most of the time. This is the future.

Stewart: "I believe in god"

atheists do not believe in god..

I knew if I hung in long enough, I would agree with you enough to star one of your posts.

Well spoken and agreed

What's up with Fox news? Well, first, what's up with all network news?

Secondly, THIS:

On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast.

The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch, successfully argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves.

Source

the only thing I find surprising, is that people are still surprised by this. Sorry for the not so main stream link, I was in a rush, I'm sure some of you remember this story, you can still find the youtube videos about it. Basically FOX news reporters did a story on BGH and the dangers it poses, essentially proving it. The story was killed. The reporter sued, lost, and the official stance is that News companies are not obligated to tell the truth, even if but distorting the facts, they put people in danger.

They ALMOST passed a similar law here in Canada recently, but thankfully because of public backlash, that didn't pan out. This time.

I guess I should be happy that apparently only 2 or 3 people who commented are actually fox news supporters. I wouldn't tell people not to watch Fox news, if you need something to be angry about, flip it to Fox. If you want your blood pressure to rise and a mild onset of paranoia to take hold, tune in to your local Fox affiliate.

Sure, every media group is biased in some sense. I guess the key difference to me is that stations like MSNBC are biased against Fox, while Fox is biased against reality. Fox outright lies, and as I pointed out above, are legally entitled to do just that. I don't see the other networks making the outrageous claims fox seems to get away with on a daily basis.

I especially liked it (sarcastically) when they used a poll about "facts" and then pointed out how only 20 something percent of people who watch the Daily Show got the answers correct. Do they have nothing better to do or report? I'm sure there is SOMETHING going on SOMEWHERE that they could have talked about instead of attacking a show that is a fake (and HILARIOUS) news show.

I would only watch FOX news if I was in the mood for a good laugh... but it's so inane it's like watching some crappy comedy where you maybe muster out a giggle.... Not worth my time.
Don't give them the ratings. Ignore them, and eventually more people will too.

I seem to recall, just a few years ago that Fox News was in court for their lack of factual reporting.

Their lawyers made a statement, which I'm paraphrasing, but it went something like:

"...we never clamined to be a news organization, we're an entertainment company...".

That was when I TOTALLY stopped watching Fox News.

Beck didn't get fired. That's not really true. Beck was told to tone down his position or else. It was too direct.

Beck and his Producer said OK..We'll leave. That was that.

Fox used to be the only alternative news 5 -10 years ago compared to the other muddlecrap.

Little by little they became more and more opinionated as their ratings went up and stayed there.

Sometimes Beck drives me crazy with his antics and arrogance. I have to turn him off.

Sometimes Stewert drives me crazy with his antics and arrogance and I have to turn him off.

Then? I just come on ATS and get driven crazy with OUR arrogance until I have to turn us off.

Aint it great we have that choice? AND we have a turn off switch to avoid turning our brains into muck.

John Stewart is wrong a lot. Remember the big show in DC to get Dems elected? Worked really well... He came out and backed Weiner recently, said it wasn't him in the pictures. DOH! It's easy to cut snippets and take things out of context. He gets a left wing pass when he does things like mock black men on his show too.

His demographic is heavily pot heads. He has said the same on his show several times. I think his heart is in the right place but, his writers are really lefty.

Colbert is not worth watching anymore, he is so far left the show is becoming a caricature of it's own self.

A fair and balanced mind should watch ALL news sources and channels. Im tired of people telling me what I should and should not watch. I can decide for myself. I´ll read the N.Y. Times if I want to, I´ll watch MSNBC if I want to, I`ll watch Fox News if I want to. And I´ll read ATS if I want to. Just to be sure to get all sides of an issue. Ignore all the ideologues telling you to look at only one side of reality.

Fox News is in the pockets of the far right conservative lobbyists. This is (or rather should be) obvious to anyone who watches even 15 minutes of their "news" programs.

It seems that you are confusing Republicans with Conservatives. As a true Conservative (who hates Republicans and Democrats alike) I can assure you that there is nothing conservative about Fox News. Yes, the opinion shows on Fox are clearly conservative (or try to be), however Sean Hannity is not a true Conservative... He is a Neo-Con Republican. Glenn Beck is more Libertarian than he is Conservative, and Bill O'Reiley is a D-Bag, who wouldn't know what Conservatism is if it smacked him in the face. The difference between Fox and the others (CNN and MSNBC) is that the commentators on Fox make it clear that they are Conservatives/Republicans and that what is presented on their shows are their opinions on current events. CNN and MSNBC commentators do no such thing, and they try to pass their opinions off as actual unbiased news, well except for Joe Scarborough, who happily admits that he is a Socialist. Even though I disagree with everything that comes out of Scarborough's mouth, I respect the fact that he is up front about his ideology and doesn't try to claim that he is an unbiased journalist, like Rick Maddow, Chris Matthews and Olbermann do.

You also call them "news" programs. They are OPINION programs, and as I said, the hosts of said programs make that perfectly clear. Don't confuse the opinion shows with the actual news shows. Glenn Beck is not a journalist and has never claimed to be. Sheppard Smith is a journalist. Chis Wallace is a journalist. Those two do not host opinion shows, they host the news.

Fox news clearly leans Republican, but I believe that they are more fair and balanced than the other networks by comparison. I still think that they suck... just not near as bad as ABC, NBC, MSNBC, et al...

Fox's 'MasterChef' faked crowd scene

Fox’s MasterChef cooked up a hilarious blunder by doctoring a scene that shows hordes of people trying out for the show. In the opening sequence of Gordon Ramsay’s latest cooking competition, there’s an American Idol-style shot of an excited crowd waiting to audition. The voiceover claims “thousands upon thousands lined up” to try out for the show’s second season.

Exactly.
Ive always hated this "baby bird" method of receiving info most folks have and I think its the root of the "faux hatred". If I turn to Fox News I am smart enough to know that they have the right leaning slant. It wasnt like it was ever hidden! I watch whatever news I want to watch. I use ROKU and even watch al jazeera and RT as well if I feel like it! LOL!

I think the problem is that people dont like things that differ from their own ideas and they expect things to be chewed, digested, and spit back at them... which isnt the MSMs job. We're SUPPOSED to be using our brains.. though through school its programmed most not to. Also the slogan of "fair and balanced" is incorrect IMO.. and its what turns people off. Every news station seems to have its own little lean and NONE are fair and balanced, except maybe Drudge.. and too bad thats not a TV program.

For me, I decided to change things up in my life last year, I watch hardly ANY tv and get most of my stuff off of the internet. I have a ROKU for TV, which I still dont watch that much. Getting news off of the internet is even LESS "fair and balanced" regardless of where you go.. everyone has a slant. Its up to a mature mind to digest it and figure out your own understanding. Gotta admit.. I liked Fox Business and Judge Napolitano.
I dont get Fox anymore due to roku so I read what Judge Napolitano has to say online.

As for getting news online and thats what the "youth" does.. ROFL! Yeah.. no one over 30 ever has gotten their news online and we never used it presently or in the past as our main source. I ran a dial up BBS in 1998 dedicated to world news for Gods sake... and there were those before me. As far as I see, most kids use the net mainly for social networking and watching youtube... NOT in depth news analysis. Certainly not for independent study due to recognizing they are not receiving an adequate education provided them. Well, except Mis up there anyway!
